Probably folk who came on board late 08 and during 09 when sp around 9.5 - 10p, taking their 50%. Each to their own. I'd like to see a greater return here which is possible this year, dependent on news flow, deals, green drivers generally.
Ta, I think asshur deserves credit here also. For me, I see this developing over 1Q and will decide to add more as SP moves around. I won't be surprised if drops a bit first, with folk chasing oilies etc, but have decided I want to be in here in 2010 regardless as I see the value of the product here. Time wil tell... :)
But very relevant in current Climate with massively increased interest on resonsible recycling and focus on safe packaging for humans and animals/ environment http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2007/12/are-there-reall.html
Had support for a sp of 43p in 2008 when this was published (bottom of page) http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/sharewatch/market-report-drax-powered-up-by-centrica-bid-rumours-789372.html and now it's only 15p ish
Bemis have collaboration with plnt since 2007 and pretty big packaging company; "Bemis Company is a major supplier of flexible packaging and pressure sensitive materials used by leading food, consumer products, manufacturing, and other companies worldwide" Wonder if they would make a move on plnt as part of their list of comanies? Bemis is valued at ~$30
tick up to boot
Link below to news http://www.businessgreen.com/business-green/news/2255467/plantic-inks-deal-improve like this bit "In addition to the extended partnership with National Starch, Plantic said that the two companies are discussing expansion plans in the US market, and expect to make further announcements in the new year."
As follows " Plantic customers include such significant international users of packaging as Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's and Cadbury Schweppes, while Plantic material is distributed even more widely to other industries around the world via global leaders such as DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers."
Active collaborations ongoing and active research - quote from site "Plantic also has strong links with industry through collaborative and joint development agreements. We have already announced several joint development, marketing or distribution partnerships with domestic and international companies such as Amcor, VISY and Orica. Other agreements of various types have been signed with multinational companies and will be announced in due course. These alliances with large research institutions and organisations give Plantic access to a broad range of processing and characterisation facilities, and speed the development of new products."
On the 8th @67k, interesting in that it occurred just before rise on Friday
Just taken a small punt position for now, let see how its goes. I also note bacterial and other systems such as C02 based are being invetisgated. A big driver here as petroleum based plastics need to be replaced longer term
Really appreciate the links, you have put some effort in here, ta. I have also done a bit more reading yesterday on this tech/ the green aspects and based on on that make a decision to add later today (will need to sell other shares. Ps, the patent links you provided are broken.
