No problem ZyDer. I’ve done the same thing myself!
I’d check your maths there Zyder….
Cheers Looed. Some genuinely good news. Thanks
Thanks Looed. I assume FIC are Zaza’s version of frontera- is that right?
Any details Looed?
When reading the document, all I would say is remember that the first half (up to “We remind you”) is new and the second half (to me at least) seems like a journalist’s retelling of old events for the benefit of his readers.
The first half is where we see all the positives, whereas the second half is the bit that regurgitates all our old problems. The journalist even gets it wrong when he mistakenly says “Finally, the government of Georgia made a decision to terminate the contract" which should have said “decided not to terminate”.
So to me it is a hugely positive post that Chris572 found and shared with us.
Thanks Looed. That’s how I read it.
A definite positive imo.
Thanks Chris572. I have just re read your post and to me it sounds positive. The American Frontera is still in control and wants to re-engage in oil exploration. That’s us! The Georgians seem to be saying that as long as we pay what we owe, then they want us back. Surely that’s good news.
I have been thinking about the "meaningful settlement negotiations" into which FRR have entered with Hope. What could this tell us ?
I reckon that there are (at leat) 3 possible explanations:
1) FRR knew they were ultimately going to have to give Hope something - the fact that we are close to a settlement suggests to me that if Hope was indeed willing to settle, there might be real value in the FRR assets and Hope has been offered part of that. He could have been offered cash instead, but who would be paying that?
2) Hope knew he was going to lose - if this was the case, he may have been willing to walk away or even to pay FRR to close the case. Sounds good, but it would tell us very little about the value of our assets.
3) It may have been much less clear cut of course. Both Hope and FRR may have been wary of an expensive court battle and have opted to join forces in the hope that they may yet emerge triumphant. Again tells us little about how much our shares ultimately might be worth.

Likewise, a big thanks to R8pilot and Looed on this - sometimes news is in short supply on this share, so whenever we do get some insight into what is going on, it definitely tends to lift my spirits.
Talk of settlement negotiations is very encouraging Looed. Do you think this could be the catalyst for the company to then be able to speak with us?

No idea who B-2-0 was. I think he was in the end just guessing like the rest of us, perhaps with some sort of inside knowledge. He got found out once it became apparent that ZM had been working against us and had been fired, as B-2-0 had previously claimed/guessed that ZM stepped aside for political reasons.
I wonder if B-2-0 is still here, just now posting under a new name?
Do you remember this - posted by B-2-0 exactly 3 years ago. More recents posts were still positive, up until about the time that ZM got found out.

B12 split, FRR Western to hold all currently proven assets, Eastern to be returned to Gocg ( Basin edge, shallow fields). FRR Western jointly owned by FRR/GOGC, however, FRR transferred holding to investor (BP as part of deal. 2020 the alliance is initiated).

According to Cymro’s post, the case is scheduled to start at 17:00, so they are presumably not expecting it to last very long (or maybe it has a delayed start time to allow people from different time zones to take part).
Haha - just seen Cymro’s reply. Thanks all.
I think it’s probably Zaza’s version of Frontera Coggy. We’ve seen plenty of dodgy translations of frontera over the years. Do you think the same Cymro ?
Pyro - I’m feeling the same way. We need a bit of festive cheer.
Thanks Chris572.
Fingers crossed that he is still advising us.
Chris572 - on the 5th September, you wrote
“So FRR we’re employed new people in Nov 20215 Sep '22
Found this persons CV online but don’t want to give personal details away. Encouraging?
Chief Exploration Advisor, Eastern Europe at Frontera Resources Corporation
Frontera Resources Corporation

Any updates on this? Did you manage to find out anything else? Does it still say the same thing? I was certainly encouraged by the findings in your post :-)
I must admit I don’t enjoy all this moaning about different posters. I perhaps naively assume that everyone still here in this bb is genuine and therefore suffering with the reality of their investment decisions just as much as I am. I hope we get some proper news really soon. I think we all need it.
