From the HSS staff we are interviewing as a result
Midlands. Staff redeployed
30+ branches HSS closed today in the Midlands Rationalisation pre merge? What does the board think?
30+ closures in the Midlands today!!
Might have been right you know. Just had the timing a bit wrong......
Announced today in a few areas, in the depots. Thought this firm were recovering?
https://www.toscafund.com/uploads/Toscafund_responds_SpeedyHire.pdf All this squabbling is doing nothing for its employees!
Written off due to the failed sale of a division....... ?
Didn't realise that not being invested in SDY was a preclusion to posting. That aside WB does come out with some odd comments (unless he knows something a number of us don't of course)
HSS year end numbers out late April A Plant year end numbers due late June.....
Are you the HSS chairman in disguise.? To listen to you this will be a tenner by Christmas lol
It tells you in their release: . Long term focus on quality and availability . Executing the basics to a high standard- Kit turns up when it's needed,it works all the time it's there,it gets collected on time and the bill is correct. Hardly splitting the atoms you may think, yet so many get it wrong
So they are well on the way to fixing, errrr, what they claimed they had fixed last year. Same drivel trotted out every time they deliver a stinker. Mark my words- a lot of the people that killed this business are still there, hiding, and aren't all at the top level. ;-)
I assume you mean 5 years +?
Are you on crack man?
The highlights: £11m loss (ignore the finance guff of "exceptionals"as we've had them for the last 3 years now" £13.9m in bad debt and credit notes. (Up from £2.9m last year, computer fixed they say??) £7.5m of unrecoverable cash for failed Mid East sale, already booked in but not paid? (It's not great business till the money's in your bank") Someone take this old horse to the glue factory!!!!!
educing the number of regional directors (or whatever they are called this week), and leaving large areas under the control of "general managers", who don't have the same level of skills or respect from the teams.Cynical cost cutting exercise that will stretch the remaining RDs left even further. They become firefighters with no scope to have any lasting positive impact on their areas. Have today heard what the Novemeber groundshake will be, Macaroo it will not be a good morning that day, believe me!
Wrong board,sincere apologies :-/
