Perhaps it's just me but yesterday's RNS comes across as far more upbeat than normal:
"Positive" response in COVIDITY trial"" - Have we've seen an RNS leading with "Positive " before? Also it's a far shorter and snappier RNS title that gets right to point.

Normally technical RNS's are very straight faced, zero hype, almost dour and with the actual good news gems hidden within the RNS text. Perhaps the new chairs influence?

"Highly encouraging" was also great to hear (RNS title with this would have been even better perhaps).

Also "no side effects"! Wow.

Perhaps Scancell will finally start giving their science it's well justified hype.

"... I don't think they could have informed a partner of the good news before this RNS."

I have no idea about the inner workings of what info potential partners are privy to in the bio world, but perhaps there is something in the timing of today's RNS (i.e. first thing Monday morning) after all?

Have to confess I never listed to the whole AGM recording so that LD quote is a bit of eye-opener!

And as you say, those events since the interview are very intriguing. The ichor one especially. The plot thickens?

I'm not sure if those on the trial who were posting on the McMillan forum have asked not to post anymore by Scancell? I.e. that's the feeling I got.

However, didn't LD also say at AGM they also actively encouraged sharing of news? I'm confused on the stance to be honest.

We know there was the Twitter debacle which may have lead to patients not wanting to share anymore also.

...as it's relatively quiet, just observing that seen a few delayed trades appear, plus seeing pattern of lots of tiny trades, biggish spread, relatively low volume and all with a new big hitter at the helm and "lots" of news to come. Odd?

Data and/or deals IMO. Data should lead to deals, how quickly after is a key question. However could you argue the recent Genmab deal was preemptive?

Lots of excellent research and posts this morning. My favourite bits (among many):

P.s. Venn Diagram was the exact phrase I was trying to think of, thanks RW. And Scancell appear to be somewhere in the sweet spot. Perhaps Dr Jean-Michel Cosséry is the chief mathemeticain finalising the venn diagram?

Apologies I should have just read the RNS myself in hindsight. But yes definitely in the past tense. It sounds like a finished product waiting for someone else to take it forward?

Excellent summary JB1, along with others who've highlighted this.

What does "design" mean in this context? Isn't Covidity already designed? Purely IMO the change of wording is significant and to me it indicates a third party perhaps.

But as you mentioned, changes with Covidity, Zakari, new chair, plus expected trial feedback just implies new and or additional negotiations are going on with third parties. Again IMO.

@Konar, RE "a partner has been found that want to take it forward themselves without Scancell".
Perhaps in typical dour Scancell style they are saying as little as possible. If a partner has been found then knowing Scancell they won't infer it in an RNS (anymore). Otherwise it might come across as giving inference too soon? Of course the other scenario is also a possibility, but knowing what we know about immunobody I think there will some element of success with Covidity at the very least, and therefore outside interest. All IMO.

You gotta twist the narrative/over exaggerate the negative when you decide to trade a share, obviously.

So it appears Mr Cossery's name is big enough to make Scancell appear on the radar of arguably the biggest financial paper in the States?
