year1970 - you/your posts seem to imply that City Financial sold their stake in Scancell out of choice? Can you confirm that is what your saying/trying to imply? When actually (and im sure you do know) City Financial had to off load many of their investments. Anyway i'll post this again...just for the giggles :) Goodnight.

Should we be getting one?

As stated by others, despite the share price today it can only be (very) good news that the City Financial issue is out of the way now? Thats' out of the way, CRUK's out of the way etc etc...onwards and upwards from now on in...surely!?

And also as someone else mentioned, I'm glad I kept my powder keg dry, tomorrow (particularly first thing) could be a very interesting(?) in terms of buying, as i certainly shall be, although I'm kinda thinking those that manage to buy at 3.77 have got themselves the true bargain basement prices?

Thanks again Ruck, although we know that a licensing deal with BioNtech is both possible and likely, it's good to hear it from the horses mouth, and it such strong terms too. BIt of a shame we didn't a question about the FDA in though :/ Has anyone emailed the BOD about this since?

To those who went to the event, thanks for the feedback and recordings, not had a chance to listen yet so I just wanted to know, did we get definitive answers on the following:
1) What are the hold ups at the FDA? (this is the biggie)
2) What did they have to say about the current share price?
3) Funds situation
4) Did attendees get the impression a BioNTech tie-up was basically a

Also, less important, but of interest to me, is the proactive event something they are contractually obliged to do regularly? As i get the impression it's almost like a lite-AGM for us existing shareholders. How long ago would they have been booked in to attend? Would they have had to attend regardless of what was happening with the company? The reason I ask is that I'm sure the BOD would have hated having the actual AGM at this point in time, as the share price is a joke, and several of us feel the BOD are not delivering. Also the timing of yesterdays RNS, as good and significant as it was, it almost seems too on the nose i.e. we'll wait for the day of the event to put out this RNS so the existing shareholders won't give as hard a time to the BOD on the day. I'm guessing they knew about the UK go-ahead of the trial before yesterday?

Yep totally agree c18, nobody likes uncertainty (esp. the market) so just some small of indication of what's going on would make a big difference IMO.
This kinda all goes back to mine and others (eg TommyFlowers) arguments about lack of updates from Scancell to the shareholders.

As TorquayFan put it, the delay has been going on for far too long now, It's a joke IMO, hence I feel they need to provide some insight as to why now.
But also as TorquayFan put it, maybe there will be some new news to discuss at the Proactive event?

I'm sure it's already on the minds of those who are attending, but can I ask the attendees to get those key questions regarding Ichor/FDA/trial dates/deadline etc over to Cliff Holloway as soon as they can on the night? Perhaps even confirm amongst yourselves exactly what to ask/who's going to ask??
The only reason I say this is we don't won't these answers dodged in anyway, the sooner they are asked the less chance they can be avoided IMO

Hi Konar, what are your thoughts on when the Chinese patent will be ratified? And does having this then cover all the major territories?
And is it the last piece in the jigsaw so to speak?

Two tweets/retweets today, one about attending an upcoming proactive investors event, and slightly oddly (IMO) a retweet about the fairly recent (but older) patent grants in the US and Europe, seems strange when the more recent news/RNS is about the Japan patent, no?

Great finds Crumbs, although what you said is inversely kind of my argument too:

Should we have to investigate to find this kind of information? This info (IMO) should be being put out by Scancell themselves, like you say even if it's just on the website or tweets, plus also, don't lots of other bios RNS their attendance at conferences? I don't see why Scancell shouldn't. But anyway, I think the term I'm looking for here is "news flow", even if it's dribs and drabs here and there to maintain interest and more importantly keep everyone updated. But yes I appreciate they are busy with the science (well Professor Durrant and her team), the BOD and admin team however, I'm not so sure? But "hopefully" they are also too busy discussing deal making, joint ventures, partnerships etc to maintain a decent news flow?

I think Dracula's VAL comment is a bit of a misnomer and dragging the conversation off in an unnecessary tangent (as most VAL discussions on here do). Dracula did make some more importantant points which i should have focused on instead in my reply, i.e.

(In a strange way though knowing funds are needed eventually is a good thing...it has to be coming from "somewhere", and fingers crossed it's an external source.)

Also, although I know little about the process and effectiveness of trying to get an EGM, that was not my point, I was trying to get a some/many/all of us to email the BOD with said questions, i guess you could say bombard them a little, just to get the wind up them so to speak, as i feel us lowly PI's are taken for granted somewhat. I'm not expecting a reply at all. I think the only time the BOD fear/respect us private investors is the one hour at the AGM every year, the rest of the time we are forgotten about.

I think part of me is also just simply miffed i'm not getting the cheap buy price now and have averaging down for so long, and been here for too long generally. I was supposed to sitting in my SCLP funded villa in Barbados by now!

Dracula, I try not to bring up VAL on here as this is the SCLP forum, and talking about VAL on here (and vice versa) seems to bring up vitriol. Incidentally I'm invested in both.
Unlike VAL however, I don't doubt Scancell's huge potential or the incredible work that Professor Durrant and her technical team do. Where I have issue is the Scancell BOD and their lack of (apparent) action, poor communication, over inflated salaries (IMO), over promising and under delivering etc etc. I just think the BOD could do a so many simple and small things much more effectively than they currently do...IMO.

Well I think, before even all that, that maybe we should all email the bod with the same pertinent questions, i.e:

E.g. (some taken from Gunthorpes post Fri 14:42)
1) Whats the latest with TriGrid2?
2) Is there a plan B if TriGrid2 is rejected?
3) Are we still on track for H1 2019?
4) Would BOD consider taking minimal salaries at this juncture to conserve cash (courtesy of Panda1)
5) Why havent there been any director buys?
6) Why is shareholder communication so unbeleilably poor? (e.g. CRUK fiasco, or why didnt they RNS they were presenting the latest SCIB1 data at ASCO)

Now, some will say let them get on with the science etc etc...but the BOD (IMO) need to know there is huge unhappiness with many of us long term holders, we have been shafted with delay after delay...false promises i.e. "monetizing in the near future" (seriously, that one was way out of line) etc etc. Again all IMO.

Saying all that, Dalester's post Fri 15:16, RE there not being director buys recently: "...The SP decline is a buggeration and one might have thought that a few director purchases might have been made at these prices if only as a small gesture, but, if there are talks afoot, might they be locked in"
Yes, hopefully the reason is exactly this?
