Why does this stock suffer from the lack of any financial affection? We all know the story behind KIE and adding 2+2 to get 4 we all know this has some serious catching up to do, its just so frustrating, roll on the results and accompanying statement.

W e can fairly assume that our assumptions of the current under estimated valve of KIE is correct and that this will also be known to the management of the Group. I would urge a trading statement or some similar from the company to allay any further fears of a Carriiion style outcome and this would support the SP and further enhance the reputation of the Group, so please Mr Davis could you.....!!??

The market makers themselves don't want to be on the wrong side of the trade, in other words they themselves are uncertain of the direction, so maybe this can be viewed in a positive way?

Completely agree. A broad based sell off is of course not positive for any stock, however KIE has not enjoyed the bounce in SP of recent weeks within the construction sector so even more so we should by all measures see a defensive rise today!!??

There seems to be no support by the market makers in this stock, can't understand why the fundamentals are simply being ignored?? Only option is to hang on in there and one day....!!!!!!!

The word is out! KIE topping the Monthly league table for the most valued awarded contracts. The big SP falls of the past 18months was the fear of KIE going bust, instead KIE are market leaders in the sector and still massively underrated. SP to fly?

Completely agree with the view. The fundamentals are all in place for the medium and long term. The market makers I feel recognize the current and potential value but until the unconventional and slightly suspicious corporate activity was out of the way these same market makers weren't able to trade in the normal fashion, now hopefully this is behind us we could see some big upside movements going forward. I'm certain the selling has something to do with the ' Woodford ' affair. Investors locked in for over a year must had breathed a sigh of relief as the regulators pledged that once the ' gated ' investments were lifted the investors would receive so many pennies in the pound, with the market makers knowing this the bid has been stuck at 80p ish as they knew the sales had to take place, so once these 'sales' have been completed KIE SP will be catching up with the rest of the sector. IMHO!

Water always finds its level. Absolutely bazaar this SP is not substantially higher given the buy to sell ratio. There might be some hidden negative news but God forbid there isn't - the SP should breakout substantially and instead of a current market valuation of £ 134million the realistic market cap. for KIE should be in the region of £500m plus. All we can all do is nothing and simply hang on in there.

Yes, its baffling not to see a greater movement in the SP. Under normal situations - and this aint one of them! - the SP should react accordingly to either the buys or sells which ever were more numerous. There does appear to be some artificial holding mechanism by the market makers - why???!!!

'KIE - ........... however it's involvement with HS2 should bring in £250M a year for at least the next 6 years, while also plenty of cash on hand. With shares in the company trading at a bargain basement level of three times 2021 earnings, the potential upside if its management team can steady the ship could be immense'.

All factual and valid points. The issue I have is given all the known facts surrounding the status of KIE, the capitalization at current SP levels is akin to finding an expensive item within a £ 1 box bargin item!!

The stability of the SP along with major investment brokerage firm participation together with a continual drip feed of positive news, there surely is something happening behind the scenes for the SP not to at least perform with the general market?
Year end results and trading update at the end of June will be telling? Follow investors hang on in there - there is certainly huge upside potential here!?

Excellent news. The professionals are buying into KIE!

I see a lot of comments regarding short positions being closed out but still a few percentages remaining with the resultant effect of suppressing the SP - I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but when you short a stock, to close the position you need to buy it back! , this should have the effect of raising the price!! So what is really going on with the SP?!

Rizzy1 - Absolutely concur with your overall view, however, the known negatives vs positives are not reflected in the true value and market capitalization of KIE. I would agree, hang on in there for the medium term as the true value will be unlocked by the 'market' - water will find it's level - and of course, any competitor looking to increase their exposure to a booming sector in uncertain times KIE is a compelling aquisition.

With even more excellent news for KIE, it will be interesting to see how the SP opens at the start! The SP performance yesterday was odd, to say the least, underwater and underperforming for most of the day up to the final bell and then a relative spurt after hours!
The newsfeed from yesterday alone should positively and substantially reflect in the SP, current SP valuation is completley at odds with fundamentals.

Newsfeeds like this continue to on a regular basis. It further cements the future viability of a premier player within the UK construction sector. Compelling valuation in SP is now even more obvious.

All investors should be comforted with more positive news which will be reflected ( one day! ) in the SP. With the current order book of which constitutes 80% of Government contracts, KIE will be viewed as a 'defensive' stock. The current SP does not reflect prevailing economic conditions. The market makers are in danger of being caught on the wrong side of the trades when reality hits home!
