Honestly BIB? Seems like a really noobie thing now since getting involved in GGP but I looked at what you guys were talking about and based off this BB. I'm not big into KOD (thankfully), but definitely should have done more of my own legwork first. Researching GGP has helped me know what to look for a bit better.
I'd love another interview now to see how he's feeling! Probably still thinking "these investors are STILL not grasping how big this is".
I believe it was a while back, like 2016-2017. So definitely pre Hav. Someone might be able to correct me if I'm wrong. I've watched so many interviews they seem to have blended!
Just what every man wants to hear about his assets!
CTC, I agree with you on your idea they want the gold from Hav to feed telfer. But with their 70% I'm sure they won't run out soon based on some of the predictions on here! I would expect GH to get his money's worth from selling Hav and then hopefully get going on Scally and BH.
Sorry, I mean an extra £130m to add to the potential profits for Scally/BH and additional £130m for Firestorm. So I'd say £100m to add to the sell price. My hope is they'll find a lot more at Scally and BH.
NS, of course they would (want GGP before proving of Scally and BH). However, GH will know they're trying to play him and even if they found only 1m oz in Scally and BH, I reckon there's an easy £130m to add onto the sell price. Then you've got the Firestorm wholly owned prospect. They reckon there's at least 1m oz there too, so that's another £130m.
I'm honestly hoping GH doesn't sell out now, at least not at a ridiculous price.
CRK, cheers. I have been getting into GGP and I tell you what, I'll not undervalue doing my own research (DYOR). Learned a lot from doing that and I've also learned to take some of what people say on these BBs with a pinch of salt haha.
You're right on 0.49p. Realistically I'd be more than happy with 0.1p! I'm learning, albeit slowly. I've only been properly trading for a few weeks now (playing with the demo account for a couple of months before jumping in) and have yet to finish my book on trading! I need to dig a bit more on KOD and see what the assets are like and the financials of the company.
I think hope is the key factor here when it comes to an investor like SC who everything hinges on and people know little about them. At least with GGP I know where I stand with Newcrest backing them.
Based on my calcs, I'd agree with Tom. If they want to take over 50% of GGP's potential profits, that's about 15-20p per share. The whole company I wouldn't want less than 50p.
NS.
Someone said here yesterday 35m oz is worth £1.5bn alone (for the remaining 30% of Hav). Just to try and redraw those calcs. Say realistically 25m oz (lowballing presumably). 25m oz * $1700/oz = $42,500,000,000? ($42.5bn) @ 30% = $12.75bn (£10bn).
Now I'm not au fait with overheads and the likes there but I think the estimate of £1.5bn isn't far off the mark. However, that is JUST for Hav on its own. The shares in issue are 3,654.51m. £1.5bn is about £0.41 per share.
I reckon GH will want to drill Scally and maybe even Black Hill before even considering an offer.
With you all the way there JC! There's plenty more possibilities in Paterson and elsewhere! I'm sure GH and the rest of the BoD realise that. They're not going to hand over the company without knowing what they've got.
Absolutely. If GH isn't too fixated on how rich he's going to be very soon from Hav, then he should be seeing that and perhaps once those drills have finished poking Hav, they can poke Sally... I mean Scally as well! ;-) We really need to know if there's anything good there and I'll be very sad if the company gets sold and then Newcrest digs up something good there.
Final auction for SETSqx is 1635. It's closed.
Yes PE! Let's get Scally in before an offer to push it up! Black hills as well (might not be much, but every little helps!)
Schlemiel, I am sure they said end of Q2 which is end of June or early July I think?
Oh and Black Hills. Not forgetting them too. The drilling showed at best 10g/t in some areas, so that's not bad. Nowhere near as exciting at Hav, but I mean that's probably worth something too, surely?
It's those other projects that worries me Sound. If they take us over based on what? 35m oz (£1.5bn was the figure that was given yesterday based on 35m oz by someone here). What about Scally? I say drill Scally as well because there's a good possibility they could find some decent Au there as well! Then tell NC to come back with an offer. We could have a lot of assets in the ground and going into a TO negotiation now I think we're blinkered by Havieron. Don't forget Firetower as well, they reckon there's a good 1m oz there too which is an additional £100m using the same figures.
Primorus seem to agree that NC will try and do a takeover. As has been said though, do they really know more than anyone else on here? I doubt it.
"Our view on the end-game (exit) for our investment in Greatland is very simple. In our opinion Newcrest Mining will seek to acquire the entire share capital in Greatland in the near future, possibly just post a maiden resource estimate for a small part of the overall mineralised system. We expect this maiden resource in late Q2 to early Q3 of this year.
The reasons for these convictions are again simple. Telfer is 100% owned by Newcrest, as are all their Australian operations. We can't see any reason for Newcrest to maintain a minority partner at production level and the market capitalisation of Newcrest at some circa A$24 billion and with billions in cash and at call liquidity, it is easily capable of swallowing Greatland. The only question left in our mind is what price will they pay?"
Seems that way JB...
