Thanks for that Shed. Sorry about the late reply! Been a busy few days.
Arthur, oh goodness! I'll sell all my shares now! Thanks for the tip.
Thanks Wolves, will do.
Diolch BlueToff. I agree. Its all about the research. Wish I'd found GGP a few years back and hopefully I have got in early enough here to reap the big rewards that some of those at GGP are now. If they want to get rich quick they need to mortgage their house, learn how to day trade then cross their fingers and toes whilst playing the spreads whilst trying not to end up homeless!
My portfolio is up about 40%, but I made some good cheap buys on PMO at the start of the crisis so I count that as cheating haha.
Hwyl Fawr!
Thanks Dr. A. I have identified the one that requires a filter, but I'm going to keep them unfiltered for some entertainment. I find that listening to the negativity provides some good opportunity to reinforce belief in a share. Some people would have been bashing Microsoft or Facebook at their IPOs I bet. If their arguments become solid and coherent, then I'll know there's a problem.
An excellent, well-structured opinion yellowf1. You seem keenly interested in bashing PHE and IES. Tell me, how many other accounts have you got for bashing other companies? Anyhow, enough of that - here's why my investment isn't going to wither (imo):
- Good deal with a company to construct production facilities based on a proven methodology.
- H2 is going to be the future of automotive fuel - forget batteries as in the near future they will be shown as unsustainable and environmentally damaging. This is a real market opportunity and PHE is getting in early!
- Provides a much needed service - ethical and environmentally friendly disposal of non-reusable plastics. Will reduce landfill plastics by an incalculable amount (as long as they get the business model right to make it an economically viable option)
- Adds another renewable energy source to the grid, further reducing our reliance on non-renewable sources. Sure, that isn't going to add to our revenue too much - however it is a great selling point to investors and for securing government funding if necessary for expansion.
- Planning permission was the biggest obstacle, of all things: PLANNING PERMISSION? If that's our biggest worry, then for now I am more than happy. It is a daunting process for sure, but its not a big deal for this kind of facility.
Thanks ShareNewb95, feel like I've been at this for years - only started trading in March! Let's hope this one goes the same way as GGP!
Got to say this one still has an element of risk, but so did GGP when it was at this price. Don't fancy missing out at this stage. H2 is the future - batteries will be around for a while, but then we will see them drop off as people realise there's a lot of pretty finite materials used in them. H2 will be the main source of fuel from 2050 onwards I reckon, with a major increase in the next few years. Just hope that PHE makes the cut as a big producer.
All IMHO of course.
Hey guys. Loving the rise in this stock (up almost 40% on my position).
Just wondering when the Moscow listing will actually happen? Read the RNS and I can see they've applied for second listing, but no date/timeframe is given. Any ideas?
Someone previously posted a link to a confession from a "stock-basher". I firmly believe these people exist and it appears you have one on this board. My question is: Who would have a vested interest in pushing this stock to the depths? Is someone interested in buying? This stock has great potential. Its got a good, commercial system for creating hydrogen and clean energy. My guess is that someone in the oil markets wants in before their empire comes down in the next decade or two.
One criticism from a "basher" did get me thinking - this system isn't proven commercially. It passes all the tests in the lab, but it isn't operating in a commercial setting yet. However, it does require a bit of patience/faith to invest in a stock. Once it is proven commercially then it will skyrocket. That's why we're here now isn't it? Early bird catches the worm?
FYI: I just bought my first lot of shares in this one. Here's hoping we'll all be making a lot of money over the next 12 - 24 months when everything falls into place.
In all fairness - it is showing on HL's FTSE 100 list. Seems HL have updated their list before the LSE publish their official list for the day.
Hey everyone. I have just been flicking through ARB's accounts and noted under their cost of sales they list "hosting and other costs" as £3.476m. That seems like a hefty amount for operations and could anyone explain what that means? Is that the cost they pay to GPU.One for maintaining their rigs, providing power, and using the space in their mining facility? I did note they said they had secured an agreement for reduced costs which, combined with the revenue from the new rigs should give an excellent result over the next 12 months.
Hoping for a good increase of BTC over the next 12 months too!
Cheers FM.
So it seems! I agree, it is strange going through my portfolio from a few hundred shares and then a few thousand. Almost have to double check I'm reading it right! Yes, PMO is doing quite well to be honest. As for the others, I'm not too sure about AML with all its trouble at the moment. I'd wait and see if it starts rebounding, but its certainly in a bad place right now.
I forsee GGP going big. AMC could go either way I think, hopefully upwards!
KOD has good potential, but could take some time for realisation of that potential. Hopefully we will get some good news to further boost the SP here in the next few days/weeks.
GL to you too!
Also, I think looking at the news the GOP is suffering a loss in support as well.
For What Its Worth, Gandhi.
Depends how small you're talking?
I think it depends what you're doing. I'm new to the game and don't pay fees on Trading212 brokerage, so I just jumped in with 54,000 (because I looked into them and thought they have a decent shot despite the potential ways it could all come down). If it goes all the way and in a few years they start digging their gold prospects and make more money maybe I'll make a few hundred or thousand £s.
I guess some people could be doing it on a smaller scale again. Or, people make mistakes and accidentally buy the wrong amount of shares.
Thanks ivenoidea and Fosters100. All about the research generally. Funny enough the ones I'm not doing so well on were early buys that I didn't look into/know a lot about before buying in. Exceptions to that being BPC which I still feel has promise, but I think has been subjected to a bit of top-slicing, etc. That one needs to be held until drilling starts in Dec - Feb.
KOD I was always a bit skeptical whether it was going anywhere. They have some good prospects, but have their main problem in cash flow. I have been worried their main financial backer bailing (Suay Chin) or even waiting for them to struggle and then buy them out. However, I think they've got the goods and SC just want a good source of decent spod and don't want to mine it themselves.
Best thing to happen now is the ML is signed, finance is transferred from SC and lithium price goes up! Perfect storm and we're on our way.
I bought a whopping 54,000 shares on this for 0.03398 (£18.35). Wish I'd have bought 5,400,000 now haha!
My first bag on a share. I've only been trading since March and I'm in on:
GGP - up 39.56%
MARS - up 78.1%
PMO - up 42%
KOD - up 134%
AA - up 23.66%
PDL - up 30.4%
POG - up 4.6%
and I am down on AMC, ARB, PREM and BPC (BPC being worst at -11.91%).
Got another buy set up for KOD for another 21,000 (only £18ish). I'm trading on Trading212 so there's no fees but also not as much volume so off-book trades don't happen as much and you generally have to wait for uncrossing for buys to go through on SETSqx traded stock - it can take a while for trades to go through.
Here's to another bag in the next few days/weeks!
I think it'd be very interesting to see GGP start mining on top of their exploring operations, but if I was them I'd create a subsidiary and have it operate as a miner independently with little intervention from the exploration side. Let explorers explore and miners mine.
However, I'd rather see GGP sell Havieron off and get the instant gratification rather than wait years to get a mine going and get the gold out of the ground. POG is high now (risky to assume it will stay that way - better to sell now) and GGP would be better positioned to continue their explorations (i.e. Scally and Black Hills) with the extra cash in the bank to get a better arrangement with NCM or even RIO (although I'd prefer to stick with NCM due to the existing relationship, on the other hand forming a new relationship with RIO might allow us to keep our options open - whatever really. Could give Scally to NCM for drilling and BH to RIO).
If we have the cash to go it alone, then we can do 50/50 or even 40/60 on the next prospect if we make a farm-in agreement. If we can't get a good deal then we just go right ahead on our own. At the moment NCM knew we couldn't drill it out alone, hence why they are walking away from this with 70% of a massive gold mine. If GGP had the cash to go it alone, then we'd have more leverage.
I don't want to see GGP get sold to Newcrest, its like a TV show that gets cancelled after the first season on a cliffhanger! At the moment, if GH is smart (which I am sure he is), he won't sell yet.
Is it this 120m placing that's driven the SP down? Also, have all those 120m placed shares been taken up yet?
Obviously this share is undervalued at the moment and was quite surprised (but not worried) when it started to immediately take a downturn after opening a position. If I'd have waited a day or two I could have bought in at over 15% less! Damned bad luck.
Obviously short term trends aren't a problem for anyone worried this seems to be a bit derampy. Still see this heading north of 15p and possibly much much higher in the next 9 - 12 months depending on drill results. GLA (note the positive to balance out the negative there haha).
Now hitting 11.20! Could this finish at 11.50 or even 12.00 today???
I think this BB has got more than it can take! I keep getting HTTP errors.
