I think there's a lot more stockpiled at Hernic moneyhawk, seem to recall 3 or 4 million tonnes being bandied around. TBH we're all pretty much guessing at the moment re earnings, but I think Leon would know what he's doing paying that kind of money for the chrome.

Just read your last post TT - jeez, let's hope you're right, some deal if that's the case.

The ops update on 5th August shows H1 2019 chrome figures - 164,936 tonnes producing £6,579,000 revenue so almost exactly £40 per tonne as Kalan says.
Hopefully this would be improving in H2 as they become more efficient with processing, but if the material at Hernic is similar grade, £40 per tonne is probably a good base point for calcs.

Just looking back through some of the figures from last week,the RNS mentions £1.41m of earnings for September alone. They’re going to increase throughput by around 20% which will obviously increase the earnings, but it also mentions increased efficiencies. Add in to that the increasing pgm basket price and we could be heading towards £2m earnings per month at Hernic(Inyoni) alone. And that’s ignoring any deal to acquire the chrome.

Thanks Jammer - and wouldn't we like to see a breakdown of that spend to acquire those Tjate rights ! Be interesting to see how much they've capitalised for office stationery, particularly brown envelopes :)
Of course, I'm being too cynical, I'm sure any impropriety would be uncovered during the annual audit... anyway, seems to be a fair wind behind us now so hopefully all LTHs will begin to see the benefit at last.

Not sure that's correct BB - I seem to remember conversations on the subject of balance sheet value of Tjate and other assets. The consensus back then was we don't own the asset, we only have the ongoing right to mine it. I certainly have never seen anything approaching the inherent value of Tjate on our balance sheet so tend to agree with that sentiment.
That's not a negative, and I dare say there'll be others on here who'll have an idea of what we've spent acquiring the rights to mine - 30 years renewable if memory serves me.

Thinking of buying in but can't find any sign of directors having skin in the game which would be a big negative for me. African Resources Ltd quoted as owning 70% but can't find many details on them. Any LTHs have any information they can share on this?

Sean01 , the KRS shareholding in Calidus has been fully factored in to the Calidus share price already. The shares came out of escrow around the start of July i think, so in theory KRS could have sold the lot and just distributed the cash to us. Obviously this would have created massive downward pressure on the Calidus share price so they chose not to do so.
Basically what is happening in November is the managed transfer of the large bulk KRS holding to us smaller KRS shareholders - what happens next is the big unknown but I'll be holding .

Prop - that is the absolute worst case scenario - not for one minute do I believe there is zero value in Keras after the demerger. And I don't think DR thinks that either .
We'll find out soon enough. Interesting times...

I don't think so SBK - everyone is assuming that the full CAL value is reflected in our current mcap - indeed a couple of months ago that would have valued KRS as a negative mcap when CAL was up over 4c . Togo will come good imo - someone has been more than happy to front up for the bulk sample and I for one believe it's only a matter of time, indeed it could be imminent!

There's no way they can say that definitively PC - I take that staement to mean, other things being equal, that if you accept that the current KRS sp includes the value of CAL then if you extract that value and move it to a new wrapper (CAL) then the IMMEDIATE prices of both combined after the process should be roughly the same .
Who knows what will happen in the days, weeks and months thereafter.
