RNS is like a response to the BB/ Shareholder Questions..3 Nov 2021 13:38
BOD have clearly been reading the BB's and shareholder questions and have now got the idea of sentiment and how making promises can effect that. Quite something watching how they've played it this year. I hope they are learning fast because its been an absolute s**t show.
I had an old buy order triggered this morning when this dropped under 10p. Who would have thought that when it went over £1 earlier this year. So I own a few more now. Only 70% down on average now! However I did sell profits on the way up for a tax bill, just got back in too quickly in the 60's and boy do I regret that now. Could have had 6 times the shares for the same money this morning.
Lesson have been learned again, and they are sadly mostly to not believe RNS's and to be more sceptical of directors and their promises. The change in tone and attitude of BOD and communications over the last years has been something. Yes it is a challenging and unprecedented time, but that is not an excuse to become vague and distant. Clear communication in these times would have kept investor confindence high, allowed for understanding and kept the market cap of the company up.
Another lesson is in just how hard it is to launch new retail products. The branding is the strongest thing here and the main reason I've stayed a shareholder. I am reminded of past conversations and book extracts that warned and taught me to be wary of new product launches in investment. It is so hard to build a truly successful new brand, not impossible but boy do you need to throw money at it. I hold a few others that have been a lesson this year, new lines are hard to break.
Adding another lesson and observation is just how much competition is in these markets for CBD/THC products and runs with the same warnings of the last paragraph. In investment, it ups the risk by a large factor, but also the reward for those who get it right.
With all that said, I do still think long term, with the right help (which is looking like we've hired for the cost of some dilution) the potential to build a brand here is high and I'm still willing to punt on it. It looks like its going to take a lot longer than I first had thought and hoped though.
Personally I'm not so sure Rodeo is the best way to go with PR. I think the nightlife market would be far better. The clear need for CHILL is PR. Getting these products out there to be seen. Snoop Dogg or similar would be my choice over a Rodeo set up.
As bad as the RNS was this morning, It is a welcome one after the lack of clear communication and there is still plenty of room for improvement. I have a feeling I will be able to load up here again very cheap. Market has detested how the BOD have played the last months.
