Down a lot on thin trading. MMs closing books? Rolex price increase comes into effect 1st Jan. Will not hurt WOSG sales or profits. Demand is outstripping supply.
Expect a market correction on 4th Jan back to previous mid / high 14s.

I do 'fancy' the stock under the right conditions. If ARR has increased at the next results then I'm back in. If I upset or irritate you then filter me. :)

As Lending said "indicators such as ARR, churn rate, new offerings from their R&D efforts and their uptake" are what's key. Its a given that turnover sould increase or its game over. ARR increasing is the one for me. Last time it increased less than the quarter before.

Morning Sheltie. You killjoy! I was going to talk about tombstones, how DT exists - really - and all manner of insightful facts but I guess I'll have to get back in my box with the other Richards. Best leave the techy stuff to Sanchez and the thoughtful considered stuff to Lending and Grotty. Its a shame some of the old 'regulars' have faded away but when one poster takes up over 50% of the space there isn't much room for anyone else. Entertaining though if you don't believe any of it. I don't expect anybody here to do anything about 'it', I am trying to understand an area outside my sphere of expertise.
I'm trying to learn about the products not cast doubts.
There are many investment vehicles we are all looking at no doubt. But just because Pod Point is into EV charging or Oxford Nanopore is into virus detection to name two recent IPOs doesn't mean I will jump in just because they are in 'happening' sectors. With DT I'm trying to cut through the fog and understand their potential.

You are right to point out that all software evolves and two years is a very long time in IT land. DTs approach is unique at the moment - certainly amongst mainstream security systems. Willy, I suspect there may be an element of 'kings new clothes' going on. I am not suggesting DTs products do not work, I am not qualified to comment and my IT friend didn't suggest that either. He was puzzled to be told by DT that there had been no threats. Maybe whoever he at asked DT misunderstood the question. Lets see what trading update brings.

Hi Sheltie. Didn't think articles from Fool carried much weight here but it was at least balanced if light on any details - links to customer testimonials on DTs own web site and some references to the opaque nature of DTs management style. I did some digging recently and contacted the head of IT at a FTSE 250 company who I know. He said they installed a DT product on one of their servers a couple of years ago but whilst they had no problems DT reported that they had not had any attacks. They knew this was nonsense as other software on their other servers were reporting increased attacks. His comments were that they couldn't get any meaningful reports out of the software and it was very complicated. The managed solution from DT was eye wateringly expensive - and his is a company that spends millions on software and cloud related services every year. They didn't renew last year. It will be interesting to see revenue numbers in the trading update and I'd like to see an uplift in R&D spend as opposed to getting their name on the wing of an F1 car.

Everyone has an opinion. That's their right. Like most companies nobody really knows how they're doing apart from the four trading updates issued every year Nobody has answered my question about if their products actually work efficiently which tells me nobody here has any experience of them.

GAFG, Was it you who went to the AGM recently and talked to investors? I think you - or whoever it was - said that 'the city' really detested Mike Lynch. What has he done to p*ss them off?

Apart from owning the investment vehicle that helped set up Dark Trace and owning a massive chunk of stock ML has no role in DT. The risk is he dumps his stock and drags some of DTs directors down with him as they are implicated in the case.

Michael Lewis wrote Flash Boys some years ago which included an explanation of Dark Pools
I would expect an RNS on Monday which will tell us who's position has significantly changed. Could be ML selling?

Anders is standing down from the board on Jan 1st and retiring next year after handover. This is an exercise in vest shares and not a commentary on the state of the company.

Hi Unhooked. Your analysis is spot on. The unknown is what will happen if extradited. Inevitably there will be an appeal so a final outcome will drag on for at least months. If he finally is extradited the concern is that he'll need funds to mount a defense. As you point out he is sitting on 30.7m shares but also his wife, Angela Bacares is the proud owner of 80.7m shares so between them they have $485m worth at todays value. Between them they own over 17% of DT.

if you look on Linked In you'll find a Charles Rixon who studied at Harvard. I know our Charles has claimed he too was at Harvard so either he's one and the same or a clone. Maybe he's an invention of DT's AI sent to bolster the SP. Agree he sounds benign but hate to think anyone is actually influenced by him.

So the last three days DT has accounted for around 10% of all trades in the stock. Over 600k shares bought. Where is the SP?10p below where it closed on Monday. Hmmm.

Sheltie, unfortunately its a fact of life and will be ignored. Its noticeably quieter when the shares are not doing so well. Please continue to give your balanced insights. Such blatant ramping, overenthusiasm or spamming - you decide - does not help this bb but as long as people don't get sucked in by the rhetoric it can be quite amusing watching someone who clearly is either paid to post or genuinely has no clue publicize the fact.
