CR888, Charles we all know that you are selectively bullish when choosing information. I remember comments about Peel Hunt being tea boys etc and anyone like Sheltie putting opposing views are 'shorters' or insignificant (£15k invested). ML news may bring uplift - lets hope - but equally may go opposite way. You focus on the former which is your prerogative. As I have stated many times this share has potential and I will get on board when I feel comfortable to do so. GLA

This will likely rise again in the first hour tomorrow and then subside. DT will probably resume buying now they've released their update so that will offer some SP support.

GAFG, CR88 will accuse you of being a shorter for your reasoned comments. The numbers look good today and certainly bode well for the future. They need to build on this now.

Interesting post Freedom. And the closing price certainly supports your theory. Trading update first week Feb. Numbers need to be good. Bumpy ride till then.

Please be aware that I for one have no inside knowledge. Personally I'm holding out until results, I'm happy to lose out on any 'spike' as it'll be an investment as opposed to a short term trade.

A trading update will be coming out. Dark say they don't give specific dates for updates. I don't know whether this is common. Certainly my company does give dates in advance. If we hear nothing before Friday I'd worry as Friday is the day to bury bad news. Hope there's a good set of figures to look at so I can have confidence getting back in.

Totally get the points you are making Sheltie and Sanchez.
Broker predictions are by definition self serving. Jefferies and Bloomberg were probably placing client sells whilst they ramped and Peel Hunt were hoovering up the sells. Not even they knew they would be over optimistic. We can only hope it cost them!

Makes a positive trading update even more important.

Very grateful for the continued insights though no doubt will be ignored / discarded / discredited in some quarters.

Charles, Grotty pointed out in this thread that Sandler's TP is £6 NOT £7.10. Please amend your list accordingly and it would help as previously mentioned if you stopped highjacking other threads please.

getafgrip - well considered as usual. I'm sure I read last night that the Fed is threatening to raise rates in March.
As you point out one size definitely does not fit all as at present the main inflationary drivers are out of treasury / govt control. Oil, gas, food and transport are global issues and raising rates may decrease demand but ultimately will not reduce the price, certainly in he short term. Add to that the govt is the biggest borrower in the UK and US and its not hard to see who will get hit hardest by rate rises - the tax payer. Inflation is an issue that, like the pandemic, will be with us for some time yet. As you say DT needs to demonstrate a path to profit but ultimately it needs to increase its ARR.

There is no target price, just overweight. A quick Google search using "Piper Sandler" - not sander - and "dark trace" would have given you the answer :)

Well that was a funny old day - marched up to 1600 and back down to 1516. Lot of market manipulation going on. People trying to place shares. Mainly algo led. Would expect there's a mm with an order to fill.
