Off subject, but the reference to premium bonds nudged my memory. On or around the birth of our first 3 children, 1970/72/73 we bought them each £10 worth which, to us at the time, was quite a bit of cash. They, and we, are still waiting a return. we passed the bonds on them about 10/15 years ago so, unless they are hiding something, they are still waiting. I have to admit No.2 and wife, having dispatched their 2 offspring into the wide world, are now travelling around Europe by rail.

Is no news good or bad news? Or maybe just wait and see, my preferred option as I don't havea direct line to AB. IMO, at this juncture it is a matter of judgement and trust by ones' self.
