With the address in Cyprus, that's an immediate no-no. Was considering an investment, however last minute search has put me off. GLA, I'm not knocking, just wary, too many russians in Cyprus. Again GLA.
Trouble is. ipad. it keeps putting our average up. It must be around 2p now. I remember buying more at 19p thinking we'd never see that price again. To the trolls we know what you're likely to think about posting, so don't bother.
Droverman, this is not the forum for arguing about the politics of another country. As I have not been to America ever, and have no wish to do so, I am unable to make judgement on what the majority of Americans may think. Biden may not be the finest example of presidential material however, solely from what I read, the J in donald j. trump is likely to stand for jailbird. My last word and apologies to all for starting an irrelevant discussion.
Acechaser, I can understand those who decide to surrender their shares IF, having originally invested in the future and not for a hopeful quick profit, they need the money 'today'. However, IF they are in a position to wait until, and invested for, 'tomorrow' then, IMO, a serious investor would have to be very lucky to find a better, or even similar, place for their capital.
Gold4U, a long time member of LSE (doubtful a shareholder in GGP) nearly 2 weeks, espouses invective with every post. It would appear that somebody has kicked the troll stone again considering what has crawled out. Thank goodness for the little green box.
If you go to a horse race meeting you have a choice whether to chance your arm to see if you are able, on the facts known, to pick the winner of a race or several or not to engage in such a risky venture. The decision is entirely yours, so there can be no justification for blaming the horse, the jockey, the change of wind direction or anything or anybody. else.
Likewise if one invests in a share in a company, whether or not that company and /or it's governance turns out to be corrupt, the decision to invest iin the first placc was yours and yours alone. In both cases any losses incurred are down to either a lack of research or judgement on your part, or even, for the more mature of us, a Devon Loch piece of bad luck. The decision to invest is yours, therefore to all the moaners I say SHUT IT. You don't tear up your betting slip when the race is only half run. However in this instance with GGP , as with other shares, you're fortunate. as you can recoup some or all of your stake, even a profit, if you feel your investment is going to fall at the next fence. It's your decision, no-one elses.
Speedie, sorry to read of your mishaps, most particularly that of your good lady. It's no fun getting older (never say old),. All this worldly knowledge and losing the ability to put it to good use. Mr & Mrs Wasred send our thoughts to you and your life's companion. We suggest that maybe Speedy should be adjusted to Steady. Long life to you both, Stay Safe.
