the MRE could be as high as 20m ozs of Au and Au reaches $2k per oz .
That gives a GROSS value of Haveiron of $40 BILLION, therefore 1/20 (5%) is
$ 2BILLION.
If we round up the AISC of production to $1000 per oz (I believe it has been estimated at $800 /oz) then the NET profit to Newcrest is $ 1BILLION for the 5% of Haveiron
Then the overall profit to NC for their $80MILLION (risky but low risk IMO) investment for 75% of Haveiron will be $20BILLION a 250/1 return.
Then there is the Cu, and other minerals to consider worth $???????????????????????
IF,IF, my calcs are anywhere near correct, and I was NC, I would be thinking that Callum Baxter, the founding father of GGP is either a very astute geologist or a very lucky one. In either case, with respect to the other tenements held by GGP, I would try to either keep him / GGP very, very close or attempt to take the Company out in the cheapest possible way.

IMO, Newcrest have a better deal than they originally anticipated. No grumbling from me, a bargain was struck and most (prior to hindsight) were very happy with it. On this matter I would like to see a bargain struck for a minimum amount leaving GGP an opportunity to re-assess IF the overall value increases substantially; and vice versa if necessary (hopefully not). In any event a bargain struck is when both parties believe they have a good deal. We, the PIs, will not have all the facts prior to the bargain but I believe it is in the interest of both parties to continue with the present mutual understanding and appreciation of the other's strengths.
