Roy Hobbs, there clearly people with different viewpoints, with many, like me who have been invested for over 5 years, some considerably longer who are quite happy with what GGP has delivered to date. Further, we are fully confident that in the coming months, no matters what the detractors or manipulators do, we will be considerably happier becoming more so as time and GGP progresses.

Chrisatbirdies, sounds like you are about South Cave. I'm 15 miles East, on the coast at Hornsea. Must arrange a meet sometime, over a pint!!. Seems GGP is a little bit thin around E.R.

Bamps, I agree entirely. To those who are showing dissent to our CEO, who I expect are mainly those to are showing losses, just ask yourselves why you invested in the first place. If it after diligent research just have patience; easier said than done I know. For those who just jumped on the bandwagon of a rising share, ask yourselves who made you invest, do your research, albeit belatedly, then sit back, relax, then consider what you have, not what you have not. It's raining at the moment, here in East Yorks, but the sun is going to come out later.

Thank you Bamps21, my previous post was merely a passing thought by somebody with a dangerous mere iota of knowledge who had had the odd reservation with GH rather abrupt departure. Over the 5 + years of my investment I have great faith in, and great expectations of, GGP particularly in SD who comes well recommended, never finding anything to alter my view. Perhaps, rather I hope, your post will give those of little, or lessening faith, in SD to have a little more patience and maybe relieve their frustrations in other ways.

Redirons, I totally agree with you. I am beginning to wonder if the ousting was down to the fact that the 70 + 5% deal negotiated by GH, for whom I had and have a great deal of respect, was not considered, by the BOD, to be in the best interests of GGP and more favourable to Newcrest. At the time, with little knowledge of such matters, I was perfectly au fait with the agreement, with few voices of dissent, with NC appearing to be bearing the brunt of the costs. It now seems that Newcrest had the better of the deal; hindsight and stable-door spring to mind, but that is business with SD being brought for his reputation as a tough negotiator to hopefully even matters up in the future.

I believe we are invested in a very unique company if only the fact that, to those whom the SP is of particular concern and we all know it should be much higher to reflect fair value, the arrival of good, even exceptional, news is dreaded.

Robyv, absolutely. I have always thought the same. It is not so much a good deal we want, as a fair deal, with a partner we can trust. Business is business I know, but when you can look someone in the eye and know he's a good and fair companion in business it's worth as much as the gold in the ground; almost. Stay Safe

Cayman, many of us have been here 5 /6years, some even longer. Whilst we may be a little annoyed at the present shenanigans, we are content to await the eventual prosperity. I do admit to being amongst the more elderly LTHs and would prefer to be thanked personally by our grand and great-grand rather than in memoriam.
