One possibility is that a generous severance package included a clause requiring him to dispose of X amount of shares to preclude a counter coup.

Thank you for the information Dimvestor,however reading the summary it seems as though they had already decided to employ an alternative means of artificial lift. Hence the reason for no coiled tubing.

Well not the result I would have voted for but it does have the merit of bringing the period of turmoil to a swift and early conclusion,I expect that Vonk and the Board were aware of the damage this was doing to the Company and also that the numbers were stacking up in Tidswells favour. Will wait and see if this is a fresh and positive change of direction,but if Lucan and the Board want a new relationship with investors then they must be honest and transparent about the Tidswell share dealing episode.

Alan I read recently ( just don't ask me where ) that the reason that coiled tubing wasn't us d at Brockham was because it caused flow problems at Balcombe.
