So if Angus identify (an incremental development) they must:-
1. within nine months of the date on which the incremental development is identified,propose amendments to the Development Plan so that it provides for the incremental project to be carried out.
2. incorporate the amendments in the Development Plan, subject to any modifications the Oil and Gas Authority may specify;and
3. carry out the incremental development in accordance with the Development Plan as amended.
So straightforward progression in testing and developing the Brockham field_/ Oh by the way Pboo's Dance of the Seven Veils was not a pretty sight lol.

It appears that some investors have had problems with reading this RNS so let us read it paragraph by paragraph.
" Angus Energy......... notifies that it has commenced its previously announced commercial flow test programme at the Brockham Oil Field.
So Angus have given notice to the market that the commercial flow test programme ( programme - a planned series of future events ) has begun. Now it cannot have commenced unless the well has been perforated.
" A simplified sequence of operations would be as follows:-
1. RIH with guns and completion
2. Displace the well to provide an appropriate underbalance
3. Activate guns followed by 5 minutes flow and build-up
4, Set packer ( note packer would not withstand shock of guns)
5. Continue with second flow and build up
6. Optional third flow and build up
7. Retrieve gauges drop guns and run PLT
8. Continue to flow "

" The company will provide an analytical update on the targeted payzone, the Kimmeridge Layers of the BR-X4Z well,in due course."
Now it must be obvious that you cannot provide an analytical update to the market if no oil flowed from the perforation of the targeted pay zone,the Kimmeridge Layers.

Baits,the terms testing and production have no meaning for the EA because they are OGA terms and as such are of no concern to the EA,the EA is concerned that Angus meet the EA requirements whether in the testing or production phase.

For "both" read "nothing"

Good post E_AL,if the commercial flow test has commenced then by definition the well has been perforated and an analytical update cannot happen if they have both to analyse. We also know that " It is envisaged that initially at least production will be constrained -----------------." I believe that blanked figure is between 750 and 950 bopd and we know that they have storage for 1800 barrels on site so Angus could constrain the flow to 750 bopd or lower and have enough storage for 2+ days. I think this is the stage that Angus are at in the flow test and can use the Christmas holidays to clean up the well and do pressure tests.

So I wonder if the long Xmas holiday will be cancelled now,sorry lads only Xmas day, boxing Day and New Year's Day :).

The EA is issuing a briefing today.

Read the RNS again,it is the long term flow test programme which is being suspended over the Christmas shutdown and not the flow of oil at the point they have reached in the flow test programme.

They said they were suspending the long term flow programme over the Christmas holidays,they did not say they were suspending flowing the oil, RNS before the Christmas break after the first short flow test imo.

No individual Kimmeridge limestones being tested at Brockham but 200metres of interconnected limestones and shales,Vonk was excited in that interview, I'm excited and don't need any pampers.....yet:)

Baits in the letter to Dear M Paul Vonk stated that the plan was to freeflow the well until a pump was required.

I see that a non invested poster is attempting to cast doubt over Brockham flowing oil from BRX4Z,and of course it is true that there are no guarantees. However the biggest reassurance comes not from the fact that the whole concept is premised on the Kimmeridge limestones being one vast interconnected oil deposit,nor that it has flowed at Balcombe and Horse Hill,but the outstanding result is that they have sampled movable hydrocarbons from the Kimmeridge at Lidsey,right on the outer rim of the Weald basin. What are the odds of it not flowing at Brockham do you reckon?
