We can all see why now why Angus application has taken so long to come to the planning committee because the planning officers have been meticulous in answering every objection and question raised from councils and pressure groups.And answer them they have leaving no wriggle room for the objectors unless oil extraction is encouraging Martians to settle in Brockham.The planning officers have dotted every I and crossed every T so that the only tactic left is to scaremonger the locals.Now if the planning committee do not pass this this and the Minister overrules this ( which he will ) then not only are SCC liable for Angus costs but they could lose all the planning conditions included with the application including restrictions on hours of work,noise and transport and condition 2, the 3 year maximum for set.

I thought you might like a reminder of Angus assessment of the Portland from their RNS 4115Y on the 3/3/17 for BRX4Z : " Since oil was produced briefly at Horse Hill and as it is most likely that the oil in the Portland Sandstone in Brockham is sourced from the Kimmeridge,the evidence backs a similar oil content to Horse Hill. Ah the trouble that Vonkspeak can cause......if you listen to both interviews again what he says in the first one is that with the acquisition of 25% of Balcombe they are emulating UKOG in having a much larger acreage for future production,he is not saying the acreage is exactly the same as UKOG's Indeed in the second interview he specifically states that Balcombe has secured the long term future and growth of the company.

Good post JennyW, if you read the report you would realise that SCC planning officers could not be more insistent that this planning application should not be refused and all objections have been answered by Angus Energy. Read the weight that SCC planning officers give to national policy in this report.
