Lisaisconsuela-was it anything like the response I received (below):-
"As Iām sure you can appreciate, I cannot speculate on the drivers of the share price movements we have seen in recent days and weeks, but I do understand the frustration this volatility creates for our stakeholders.
Please be assured that Petrofac takes its market reporting obligations very seriously. We have a scheduled trading update for the 20th December 2023, where we will provide an update to all shareholders on the Groupās performance. In the meantime, our Group continues to be committed to keeping the market informed, via the Regulatory News Service, of any updates, as appropriate."
"..astonished that a company with a multi billion market cap not all that long ago can be battered down to where it is now."
It's because the City is now a bent free for all where anything goes and insider dealing is rife.
The FCA?? Don't make me laugh
Here we go again with the thought police.
For their uneducated benefit the word f.a.g. is of longstanding English usage eg "it's a real f.a.g. having to make my bed this morning" etc.
How pathetic this country has become.

"PFC were convicted for Bribery and Corruption." No they weren't-read the SFO website.
"Petrofac Limited attended Westminster Magistratesā Court where the company was charged with seven separate offences of failing to prevent bribery between 2011 and 2017."
Note "failing to prevent".
High level officials "engaged in elaborate schemes to....."
When this happens it is almost impossible to detect, witness the fact that both internal and external auditors missed it over a period of years.
A parallel case to Barings/Nick Leeson.
Having said all that our cojones are in a vice at the moment and retrospective sackcloth and ashes routines are not helpful.
Agree Sm
For the Directors to knowingly sit on "something very wrong" and hang it out until the trading update to drop a bombshell would be corporate suicide.
At present we are being Donalded by the grimy slimy shorters and price manipulators who are totally unaccountable it seems.
FCA fiddling while Rome burns!
Bought 5.4m sold 3m and down 10%. Sheer blatant uncontrolled manipulation
FCA?? Don't make me laugh AND their useless erstwhile boss is now governor of the BoE- heaven help us when a system promotes a clanger dropper to the most important financial post in the country.
Oldbutnowisa (and anybody else)
Don't get too ecstatic about this. Look at all the benefits your present pension scheme offers before you jump out. (Widow's entitlement: medical insurance etc etc.)Many years ago I moved my pension fund to an insurance company and have regretted it bitterly ever since.
I'm sure I'm preaching to the converted but just saying!!!
