Peel Hunt are in the financial sector what Lidl are to Supermarket sector, always trying to undercut their competition. My partner works in price integrity for one of the big six supermarkets , it's all about sell through and not getting stuck with stock, make quick profit , if something is not selling try and break even at least.
So Peel Hunt dumping on Thu/Fri was probably a necessity, their business model has similarities to Lidl
Lidl undercuts supermarkets → Peel Hunt undercuts brokers
Lower margin per unit → narrower spreads per trade
Higher volume to compensate → more order flow captured
Avoid being stuck with inventory → market makers also discount to exit risk
