RE: Upgrading Sovereign Tech with Gloucester Police31 Dec 2025 13:37
Hi Woltan
Thanks for your kind comment.
There is no logical explanation to why good news is immediately followed by a rush to sell.
I hear often on boards about the strategy " sell on news", It appears to be quite contagious on the U.K. Markets.
I put most of the selling down to ease of access to technology, phone apps in particular. My Grandfather would call his broker once a month for an update, had no access to the internet to be baited by trolls on a bulletin board.
He was a rational thinker who had more important matters to fill the void in his spare time.
He was an investor in the true sense of the word, unfortunately as has been witnessed all too often on these boards, a high percentage of posters are simply doing exactly that,...posting.
Some are very convincing liars, most are easily identified by their first post. The genuine posters tend to stand out because they have made a commitment to invest long term and take a genuine interest in the companies progress.
I said earlier , never stop researching on a share you are invested in, you build a very unique footprint over time that can be invaluable in keeping confidence high.
It gets easier the longer you are in this game as you very quickly learn to ignore the noise and pay attention to the small detail and cleverly crafted wordings of an RNS.
We can all analyse why a positive RNS is not to the markets liking and conclude in many ways why the muted reaction occurred.
High expectations of news linked to more M.o.D involvement, DH throw a curveball with a potentially new partnership with the Police and it's spooked a few investors that then created an unnecessary sell off through more panic selling.
Nothing sinister or unusual just human or should I say sheep instinct. They will all be baa-ing or buying back in around or after the 6fth January.
Happy New Year Woltan and a prosperous one hopefully.
