The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Well I found it quite amusing!! More so than some of the material posted by our resident self professed comic genius . Who has also covered, throughout the day, every possible scenario regarding the ‘Newco’ so he can then come back to say “I told ya so” in a few weeks! Brilliant tactic. Yawn.
Cheers Crude, I can relate to that rollercoaster ride mate. Certainly not for the faint hearted and I basically gave the Wife the mushroom syndrome until about 2 years ago. So divorce might of been on the cards for me if had come clean sooner. A bit naughty of me, but why should she have the worry too!! That’s was my line and am sticking to it , lol.
Well I would like to thank a few of those names that have already been mentioned ( Crude, Appi and Ponks to name a few ) for keeping my interest and sanity during those early days. It was their input , info and banter that kept me here back in the days of Gerry Orbell and Indonesia. So whilst I’ve not been much of a poster, I have always been a reader of this BB and can only say thanks. I was fairly new to investing back then and My research probably was very minimal and am not ashamed to say that a probably learned more via the BB back then. Gladly I done more of my own before putting my biggest investment into these prior to the warrants offer! So Cheers
So hes choosing to go for a pint with some of the in-mates from, what this board sometimes lends itself too, the asylum! Should be interesting. Tempted to go but for similar reasons to others on ere, and being from up north etc , i may have to reluctantly have to pass this time. Do have some spare sparring gloves if anyone needs them for the entertainment thats being lined up. DING DING . :-)
Exploration thanks for the reply and the info within it, very interesting ! So I was actually barking up the right tree in a roundabout way! I had a theory in my head but struggled in the early hours to convey that in a post! I must admit I didn’t even consider the previous drills done on the licence that yielded gas shows but were deemed uncommercial. If Sound get this next ‘stimulation’ bang on the money and demonstrate how best to connect these thin beds, then this all could get very interesting and them older uncommercial drills with gas shows may just be worth re-evaluating. Rambling again
Actually after reading it back, i think i am way off the mark. But there maybe some truth or at least some connection to the thin beds and giving them the best chance of connecting them up with the bigger guns!! Simple ramblings during a night shift........
As always some decent posts amongst the dross today. Just to go back to the subject of the bigger guns and all that has brought with it, would it be possible that the very fact they have discovered lots of thin bedded sands at TE10, making them choose this option? My thinking is that they want to demonstrate to any potential buyers that this type of geology and the layers of thin bedded sands can ultimately be made into one larger gas bearing zone. I know that ultimately that is what stimulation is meant to do, i just think that they are wanting to show that the slight variations in the geology across the licence wont be an issue. But If they can really frac the hell out of it and get all them thin layers inter-connected then surely thats less work involved when it comes to field development ! Similarly the way the field development concept using horizontal drilling was proven at TE7. Or maybe the horizontal drilling coupled with the larger FRAC/STIMULATION technique may be able to cut down even more on the drills required to drain the resource. I aint no expert and these are just my thoughts and am probably way offf the mark.
Sorry pontacanna but the only sense JTF posts is when he regurgitates info already posted by the company and then claims that he told ‘Us’ so, in his attention seeking self professed expert opinion!! He’s a prize prat . Why. Ok he often goes on about people not doing enough research or saying that no one should use what anyone says on a BB as investment advice...his words!!! Yet at 20:35 today he clearly admits to doing such a thing via the Echo board and supposedly taking advice not to invest. I actually think he was talking thru his ass trying to cover his dirty little tracks, coz once again he had been exposed for the horrible person he is. The truth is he was ( IMHO), on the Echo board wallowing in the misery of others misfortune , he’s done it before with Sound investors and he’s done it again on Echo . Once again proving why the majority of posters on here dispise him and don’t believe a word he says. Even half of the lies he tells aren’t true.!!!! Rant over , lol.
I mainly agree , but their are individuals on here who change their tune to suit their agenda , often sowing seeds of doubt or just utter BS. They have been found out and now some posters ( am occasionally guilty ) feel the need to highlight these idiots and remind the board not to trust a word they say. The same individuals also state the obvious with regards to operations and think they are a self professed expert. Filter is also a good option so ya don’t have to read the nonsense they post. Fingers crossed for a hugely successful result from TE10.
Does anybody else have a spreadbet open with FRR? If so do you have any idea what happens with that while the company is delisted? Assuming a might have to settle the bet, but surely if that’s the case I should own something in the way of shares? I thought the spreadbet company buys the equivalent shares within the market to cover the bet? If I have to sell settle the balance then surely I should have a claim to them shares, effectively buying them from them? Anybody??
Thanks for the link Devex, I will sort that later on. Would like to take this chance to thank all the guys behind the scenes for all their efforts putting this together. I was a member of the previous group FOF and fully intend to join this one. Cheers
Anybody got any ideas what happens with a spreadbet in these circumstances? Cheers
Last week I finally got around to listening to the CC that was held in December. I’ve got to say I wish I had listened to it much sooner. Although I was never going to sell any shares, it did gve more a little confidence regarding TE10 being a positive outcome. Why? Well firstly the mention of the hypothesis they are now developing regarding the thickness of the lower level Tagi salt unit and the possible relationship with the presence of the TAGI reservoir. I need to listen again and figure out another point he mentioned about some ISOPACH. Secondly , the fact that they shot a line of seismic directly over the TE5 Horst area straight thru over the TE10 location and found similarities was also Very encouraging.
