My Oil Horoscope continues: There seems to be a price prediction for oil to suit all tastes.

I imagine that the US will be replenishing SPR at par or profit over coming months if it remains in the 80s, since most of that oil was released over the last 8 months at a higher price.
The high oil price that many predict ‘could’ still happen but some others are suggesting lower energy prices and even negative inflation as hawkish fed policy kicks in together with warmer weather come Spring coupled with increasing focus on (cleaner) gas and a move away from (dirty) oil.

There may be a bridging period as the world converts from oil to lithium et al. but at what price oil as the west continues to deleverage from quantitative easing.
Given these macro’s, I’m now seriously questioning whether there will be a positive price tag for HUR. This may be it, tax attributes apart.

This board looks interesting. From your comments I can see that there is something wrong here.
I’m going to try sew a bit of discord and upset a few potential doubters and impatient people anxious for a quick return so I can get the best possible price for my £500 investment. In my copy of the instruction booklet on ‘reflexive investing, how to use bulletin boards to make friends and influence people’ , it clearly states; look for shares awaiting news as there’s plenty of potential to throw a brick in the pond. Allude to forward looking statements which can more easily be contested and draw away from regulated information. Videos and stock talk shows can provide useful fodder for this kind of approach.

Lastly, keep your post ‘click bate current’ to achieve highest possible viewing figures.

Lots of ifs and howevers in that report easyp. Misleading headline:

A fairer assessment, in my view, of what is actually happening:

Haha so you guys agree then. I’m not seeing an argument here. Just nerves around risk leading to volatility fed by anxious swing traders inventing worries v hopes and trying to nick 10-20% off each other in the process, at short intervals. While others stay put and stick with their decisions for the longer term. At least that’s what it said in the investors’ gold standard* last time I looked.

Rather, I refer to the article cited which is very interesting as it highlights how tenuous our knowledge is of that Ridge, Lancaster/Halifax combined, P8, etc. , and the degree of subjectivity involved which in turn is hugely influenced by market outlook and general future of the oil market, (and no doubt requirements of current BOD early retirement packages etc).

Combined with energy security considerations, fractured basements in home waters are likely of more value than offshore Vietnam, wouldn’t you say?

I extracted this observation from the long-winded article, linkposted by Mirasol 09/11 / 09.47, just to say that what might be at the bottom of the sea depends upon our hunger for oil, the outlook for which has dramatically changed since 2019.

I believe a lot of what has happened with HUR over the years has been driven by world views of energy requirements and climate politics. In 2019 there was still a prevalence for diminishing exploration and shutdown. Now, the harsh reality of limited resources and rising demand is producing a completely different RealPolitic, Putin style.

Rona Ridge CPR will be revisited and has considerable value to prospective buyers with deep pockets for deep waters.
