Still testing LFTs for effectiveness..should know more in days.

TWatcher. You are stating that the DHSC contract is dead..it certainly appears that way.But there has been no definitive statement from ODX that any
chance of manufacturing for the govt. is now dead in the water..it's not. From the RNS :
re DHSC.."ongoing uncertainty about their future utilisation of our manufacturing capacity"..a phrase used twice in the RNS.
Also.."To date ( i repeat - TO DATE) we have not had confirmation from the DHSC regarding which test they require us to manufacture"
And.." Given the outlook on Covid manufacture for the UK government is uncertain.."
Yes,the former DHSC contract has now lapsed,but it's still clear that ODX have not been instructed by DHSC that there will be no further need for their services."Uncertainty" and "To date" do not equal "It's over".
Also..in light of the lapsed DHsC contract ,the RNS stated that they were going to "re-size this aspect of LFT manufacture to meet current and future demand".They also stated they were "ramping up" capacity for the "rapidly growing" CD4 market.So it seems they're re-attributing some LFT capacity towards that for CD4. Isn't this really a positive as,from memory,we make alot more money on the CD4 tests ? Re-sizing does not equal reducing,it's moving a part of total capacity to production of another ,more profitable test imo.
Half year revenues for CD4 grew from £12k to £163k..and for next half we already have £800k firm orders up to end of October.We're also moving production to new,larger premises in Ely in early '22. Sounds like a company that is going places to me. The doom and gloom is way overdone,as is the downward attack on the SP. As many have said this weekend,any approvals and we are off.This is bargain territory..for real this time.

Surely with CTDA clearance DAM can start selling Visitect as pro-use in-clinic.They're doing 200,000 tests per month..no way these can all be solely for day 2 LFT. LFTs still a necessity and hopefully our test can pick up Omricon.If not then,hopefully,we can alter it innminimal time.I'm sure many suppliers will be in the same boat either way.

PD will at some stage get round to testing the LFTs and they will concentrate on the ones the HMG have a large stockpile off,or have large committments to purchase."
..only IF those LFTs actually pick up this new varaint.If they don't they could well be ditched.

There will be more varaints in the future as well.We need to be thinking more of the longer term implications for the diagnostics industry that C19 has brought upon it.Testing,of many different types,both pro and self-use,has just become a whole different ball game.We are at pre-covid levels but the world has changed since then,the industry has ballooned and ODX is a completely different company with a much larger outlook and market than it had pre-covid.Non-covid side of its business is blossoming,nothing at all priced in here for ANY covid rvenues.Testing and pandemics/endemics are here to stay,ODX will only grow and become more profitable as time goes by.They will,hopefully,learn from their mistakes.

I was just pondering on the intracacies as we have almost double capacity for the card format.Interesting wait going on here.Will we get TT completion/fundraise or Direcctor fund injection/DHSC dispute resoution news first ? Bar cash-flow uncertainty this is looking like bargain territory.

The BOD didn't set out to make losses in connection to the whole DHSC contract/equipment.From the onset of the agreement they were expecting a sovereign test to be chosen ny the govt. and then foro them to make alot of revenue from producing it.The govt. have chosen to keep using Chinese tests instead,not within ODX's control/foresight. In the past now..we all need to look ahead,positively.With approvals will swiftly come more orders and here is still plenty of scope for a huge upside from here.

Hi Muck 165.If you can,could you please explain the difference between the 2 formats i.e. card and foil..are they for use in different applications or settings for instance,and is one potentially more profitable to ABDX than the other ?

Hurtle.Check out Sweden's current infection rates..higher than France,Spain and Italy per capita.Not the anti-covid beacon it was once touted as.You must remember they have one of the highest rates in the world of single habitants and workers from home, and are also a very compliant people who have closely followed their govt's near-lockdown-but not-quite guidelines.

Many many more instances where LFTs will be needed.Are nurses,doctors,care-home workers,teachers,large enterprise employees,event goers,schoolchildren,relatives visiting the elderly etc. going to wait for PCR results on a daily basis,whenever they need a quick result ? I think we will see a rally on many covid stocks next week,hope we get a lift also.Would be a great time for an aporoval to land.

asher.Ha..if only any of our musings had that much influence.Sentiment is,as a whole,very important here though so i don't see the point in squabbling in the mire.I just hope many of us get a chance to recover some or all of our losses.I believe this will bounce hard on approvals.Life goes on..as Benny would say..hey-ho.

Agree Asher. Not partakimg in the doom amd gloom,hoping the only way is up from here. In his chat with Zak Mir Colin did say he expected more orders from Dam to follow,and in the RNS they mentioned more "stock orders".Question is,how many will DAM need,especially when we get home use and as they expand across the EU and into Mexico.Plus,we also have "other commercial opportunities"..hopefully they will come to fruition.In a few months i've no doubt SP will be much higher than mid-20s.Good Luck.
