UK tells parents: be vigilant on child inflammatory disease

LONDON, April 28 (Reuters) - Parents should be vigilant
about a severe inflammatory disease among infants that some
medics fear may have a link to COVID-19, a junior British
interior minister said on Tuesday.

"It demonstrates just how fast moving this virus is and how
unprecedented it is in its effect," Victoria Atkins told Sky
News.

"The chief medical officer has said that it's extremely rare
but we must all be watching very carefully through this virus,"
she said.

Italian and British medical experts are investigating a
possible link between the coronavirus pandemic and clusters of
what appears to be Kawasaki disease, a severe inflammatory
disease, among infants who are arriving in hospital with high
fevers and swollen arteries.

Capita wins ?60m UK govt contract extension

(Sharecast News) - Capita said it had won a contract extension worth ?60m to continue the administrating the Teachers' Pension Scheme for the UK's Department for Education.
The extension will start on October 1 will run for four years, Capita said on Monday.

5,000 home tests ordered in two minutes in UK
The UK government has said 5,000 home testing kits were ordered in just two minutes after a dedicated website opened for applications on Friday.

The website - which enabled essential workers to request a test for the virus - closed after around two hours.

The government said testing capacity for the website would increase to 18,000 home testing kits each day from next week.

The UK has set a target of 100,000 coronavirus tests a day by the end of April.

North Sea Crude-Swaps rebound, grades unchanged at multi-year lows

LONDON, April 23 (Reuters) - North Sea crude differentials
were unchanged for a fifth session in a row on Thursday,
remaining at multi-year lows, while swaps and outright prices
rallied.

* Short-term Brent swaps firmed along the curve and
Brent futures rallied, gaining $2 a barrel to $22.37 by 1630

A further 4.4 million Americans sought unemployment benefits last week as the economic toll from the coronavirus pandemic continued to mount.

The new applications brought the total number of jobless claims since mid-March to 26.4 million.
