London pre-open: Stocks seen up again amid Covid vaccine hopes

(Sharecast News) - London stocks were to rise again on Tuesday following sharp gains in the previous session, which was underpinned by hopes of a coronavirus vaccine.
The FTSE 100 was called to open 22 points higher at 6,070.

CMC Markets analyst David Madden said: "European stock markets were firmly in positive territory by the middle of the session, and the icing on the cake was when Moderna Inc, announced that its potential Covid-19 vaccine showed positive results in phase one of the human trials. The next phase of trials will be undertaken soon, while the third phase of trials - which will include thousands of patients - might be conducted in July.

(Sharecast News) - London stocks were set to rise at the open on Monday amid optimism over lockdown easing as coronavirus death tolls in Europe and the UK continue to decline.
The FTSE 100 was called to open 94 points higher at 5,893.
