Timor-Leste receives official visit of the Secretary-General of ASEAN - Mon. 01 of April of 2024, 12:33h

Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, will pay an official visit to Timor-Leste from April 1st to April 4th, 2024. This visit comes at the official invitation of Bendito Dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Timor-Leste.

The ASEAN Secretariat under the leadership of the Secretary-General facilitates, coordinates and monitors the implementation of ASEAN various agendas across their community pillars. This visit holds significant importance as ASEC plays a pivotal role in assisting the ASEAN Member States in assessing and reporting about Timor-Leste's readiness for ASEAN membership.

Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn's visit reaffirms ASEAN Member States' commitment to support Timor-Leste's journey towards becoming a full member of ASEAN.

During the visit, Kao Kim Hourn will pay a courtesy visit to José Ramos-Horta, President of the Republic; Maria Fernanda Lay, President of the National Parliament; and Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao, Prime Minister of Timor-Leste.

In addition, he will deliver a Keynote Speech at a session with the members of the Government on Timor-Leste's accession to ASEAN. The Chuditch PSC covers an area of approximately 3,571 km2, with water depths of 50-100 meters. Located approximately 185 kilometers south of Timor-Leste, 100 kilometers east of the producing Bayu-Undan field, and 50 kilometers south of the Greater Sunrise potential development, it contains the Chuditch-1 gas discovery drilled by Shell in 1998.

One of those old shell leads, we caught the edge of, on the Kyranis 2012 3d seismic re run, psDm vice original pstm and now known as Quokka, it and multiple other leads Shell had back in the 90's, all thought to be possibly oil but more likely very large premium Condensate reservoirs with more Gas sitting over them.

Shell based that theory on the other regional discoveries and its similar offset , like Greater Sunrise , Sunrise Gas and it's co located nearby Troubadour Condensate fields (220mb per early mapping)🤔

Yep, now multiple catalysts, both company based and wider TL Gas projects and potential known or new entry funders to now make them a reality. Looks like Chuditch will have 3 local routes to monetise, once q4 drill proves its all still in place (ch1 drill 1998 , seismic 2012) with seismic reprocessing indicating, CH2 drill location reservoir 3 - 5 times thicker than the ch1 location.

Metinaro - Gas/LNG Import terminal - Northern TL, National domestic supply 90-120 tank farm, 2 Northern P/Stations
