RE: Greater Sunrise8 Apr 2024 15:43
in this case agree , oz side taking the ****, multiple studies and financials have been done in the past, the only thing needed is that loooooooooooooooooong decades coming jv agreement to go to the island.
timor trench studies done by both sides before and conoco phillips did their own in late 90's , looked at going to the island, said multiple ways of doing it but came up with an innovative suspended bridge pipeline , which was voted down by its shareholders on the grounds of costs and aftercare.
all studies , woodside/oz , conoco and tl's own have all come back , can do but at a cost, met herself even admitted after the u turn , modern materials and modular construction , should bring costs down over previous studies.
original tl sunrise concept plan , was carp financially but their 9th sept 2021 3 field plan with a hub not just sunrise, kicked that argument to the kerb, those 3 fields estimated at 25-30 tcf ( 4,250-5100 mbo/e) with upside.
so they know can be done , can now be done cheaper and with far improved economics.
switching to your side now , tl took the **** with two decades of no no no all wait for............now deffo oz taking the **** and dragging it out further.
hope xi does send in his boys and bypasses them with another starting (chuditch hub ?) option....... π
