RE: Huge CHINA news coming - hold tight14 Apr 2024 12:34
Part 2
The 4 day Ministerial team visit to China, ended with China declaring support for Timor Leste Infrastructure CONSTRUCTION and raising Timor Leste status to BRI Level 2. (previous post scale of Level 1)
Timor Leste now has the Tibar port in operation for shipping in large items and volumes of equipment, connected via Sui Expressway 4x4 lane) and other roads that connect to Betano Suai offshore support port and Beaco, phase 1Electricity grid near completion, Cabinet a couple of weeks ago clearing $148 million to have coverage all across TL.
What large projects do they have on the books for that raised to BRI Level 2, only 3 I can find, all under the Ministry of Strategic Planning and Infrastructure , which singed an MOU with the Chinese Ministry of overseas development , 3 days before Gusmao's meeting with Xi Jinping. ALL good for our sector.
National Grid and Domestic security - Northern Project Metinaro includes Gas/LNG Import terminal with 90-120 days tank farm, to feed 3 being converted to Gas Island power stations, two in the North near capital Dili , the 3rd at Betano
Beaco (Natarbora alt) Multi string Gas/LNG Exports refineries and deep water port, for LNG shipping, TL long time dream connected to G.Sunrise HUB (Tasi Mane Southern project)
Betano Oil refinery refurbishment and expansion. (Tasi/sp)
The original Tasi Mane (all North/Southern projects at Beaco later split by PM Rauk 2021) had included a new Airport in the South , to be located between Betano/Beaco, that was shelved (lack of funds) for major upgrades to Dili Airport (funded mostly by France/Japan/OZ) and likewise a small existing regional Airport (small/helo's only)
So Infrastructure wise , that NEW Airport might come back on the books (BRI Funds?)
So BRI Level 2 , can only be good news for us , Gas Metinaro/Power stations (2025/26) Beaco (2030) , Oil Condensate Betano 🤔🤑
