If MSC are guiding the timelines, then what is the reason they are pushed back to the nxt quarter...time and again..

I personally think its down to MSC waiting until the very last minute to make a decision based upon the outcome of the IMO EGM in October.

While emissions trading schemes and penalties are being discussed, until a definite framework is voted in, then long term investment in infrastructure and fuel choices become uncertain.

For me its a no brainer to use Msar / BioMsar ...whether the vote passes or not ..

1) Doesn't Pass......MSC have the most cost effective solution that helps them environmentally and Financially in the interim until a framework is put in place.

2) Does Pass.....Exactly same as above....until infrastructure and Volumes of Net Zero fuels are in abundant supply...

So either way Msar/ BioMsar is the Interim solution.

But I think MSC need to know are they going for short term cost optimisation or long term strategic investment.

Surely the result of the IMO meeting in OCT will cement their decision making.

Only my opinion AKHM, it just seems to me that we are hearing more about what the Hapag -Lloyds, Maersk etc showing what direction they are going...while the world biggest shipping container company and is the worst polluter of them all is relatively quiet on Actual Fuel choices...other than New Dual Fuel ships are being ordered and built...

All we've done for the past couple of years is talk....about the financials, the environmentals, how great it is, its potential.....especially chumpstock.....

You only have to read ship & bunker and splash 247 to see various shipping companies and its customers committing to either a full on strategy for example Scorpio Tankers deciding to roll out FOWE emulsion technology across its entire fleet of 100 ships, or customers booking specific voyages using B30 Biofuel blends ......We cant offer them anything at the moment because we are still in limbo.

As far MSC strategy is concerned we know they are ordering lots of Duel fuel ships and probably still using VLSFO and HFO with scrubbers.....not gone out on a limb like Maersk have who have committed to the likes of Methanol, Ammonia etc...calling it keeping your cards close to your chest...seems like procrastination to me.

Either way, we need to start moving ASAP, other shipping companies and customers are making concrete decisions right now...

The time for MSC sitting on the fence to wait and see has to start coming to an end..

A regional supplier doesn't necessarily mean a refinery Stockchump...look at what we are trying to achieve with MSC ...MAC2 a terminal.....plans change....I think that initially it was a refinery like the restart of one of the mothballed refineries., but consider the scope for integration into the restart ....10 months at least based on how long it took for plans and installment at Cepsa....with these restarts still on hold....I say it would be better at a regional supplier like VOPAK...et al.....but if im wrong....im adult enough and and man enough to say so...

Never did hear your reply to the correction for the accusation to DaPhrophet about the timelines coming to an end at the end of October for installation of the MMU , when it was perfectly clear i meant installation of the MMU and production of Msar by Jan 26 as per the DT article......you thinking that that I meant the agreements end with MSC by end of October.

Well considering there has been no update on the Carribean refinery in any communique for a while it is plausible that plan has changed.

I think its more plausible to engage a terminal in Panama that store and transport heavy crude products

1) VOPAK Terminal

2) DECAL s.p.a ( Tabougilla Island Terminal)

Or particularly

3) Petroterminal de Panama ( PTP)

It depends if they did the techno-economic study before the trial, or about to start..

From Memory the Esmaraldes study ( For a refinery) took about 3-4months..

So if they started before the trial, possible to have contracts wrapped up by year end.

But if they are just starting the study, I would guess by end of Q1 26

So what are then saying DON that for 5 and half years JM and AM in conjunction with Younnes just hadn't got what it takes to get this over the line....don't forget the new agreement in May last year we were told the old agreement wasn't fit for purpose and this new agreement would FAST TRACK the trial.......we don't have to bin it straight off.

We can say that we are going to be extremely busy in the nxt few months and it would be prudent to complete the trials quickly.

Lol....I would have been a lot more relaxed along the way if we had a least one project over the line chugging away, while the bigger projects like MSC took their inevitable course, it was the fact we had no projects going anywhere really until...Sparkle came along.

What i am impressed with....is the from the time Sparkle was announced as a project, to the trial and now to progression of Msar in Panama has been not quite a year.....thats what I like to see...

As gor Morocco I just think it utterly pathetic as a project and no fault to the team ( even though ive lambasted them over it) but reading around other companies its just the same.

The Arab nations talk a good talk about buisness, but ultimately its all hollow BS unless Brown envelopes are involved and that's something QED wouldn't even think of never mind entertain and rightly so.

I think the likes of Morocco are not as important as it was, when really it eas the only show in town.

I think we should concentrate on our original markets of Marine and Power Generation, and if somebody in the industrial sector is interested and SERIOUS about using Msar...then we should investigate that possibility.

For me the SP isn't a major concern.....its the certainty that is important to me....QED is now turning a corner and im now beginning to believe that QED will ultimately be successful.

I think its comes down to doing your research and putting your money in and then for so long seeing nothing, you begin to doubt...you begin to question...you begin to regret your decision....but when you start to see things align then there's that sigh of relief .....Im still cautious until at least the first contract, but ultimately I think we will all breathe a collective sigh of relief when the MSC agreements are signed .and hopefullythis is what Peter can deliver us...and yes im enjoying the ride, its great to see us going in the right direction at last.

Excellent news and well done to the team, hopefully this is the turn around we have all waited for, for so long and the upwards climb begins. Let's get those MSC signatures signed and we will be off to the moon.
