Looking for an antique watch moment here....lol...small market cap and a hot prospect...just all about when news drops for a massive re rate....several small caps are coming out with good news and their sp's are moving up big time....OMI's time will come eventually...

The usual waiting game here...i guess news could drop any time...we can never know for sure. So just best to hold for the right news. The project is in a hot zone and will come to fruition eventually and OMI are being funded by Newmont so the positives are in play as it is

Good assessment Bhargav...indeed OMI is a one trick pony.....the asset though is in a very big hot spot with surrounding fields proving bonanza style finds and a stable political area so really it is just a matter of time for Newmont to get this moving.....it is within the power of the directors to at least support things here by purchasing shares themselves and show some much needed confidence here.

The shareprice has suffered big time due to a lack of movment from Newmont and people getting fed up of waiting for things to happen here understandably...but like yourself i will hold for the longer term as big rewards will eventually come here....just like GGP and most likely at a more magnified level due to limited number of shares in circulation. I sold too early in GGP with hindsight and shouild have been more patient hence i won't make the same mistake with OMI....

How long will they have a buy signal...? they can be very hot and cold with OMI....really could do with positives from OMI....they could learn a lesson or 2 from GGP....GGP has surprised me with the continued strength there...just shows how much of a recovery can take place with positive news....Hope OMI will replicate GGP. OMI has the assets in place, just need some movement from Newmont to get the ball rolling. Omi's share circulation is much smaller than GGP so just imagine the magnified effect on the sp with some positive from OMI.........

Very quiet here....seems no interest not surprsingly...I see GGP is going from strength to strength...one i missed out on sadly... and even a director purchase...wish OMI could do the same here with some well needed support from the OMI directors...Seems patience has won with GGP....hope great things will come to OMI soon?

Each to their own. Won't risk trying to scalp a bit here and there at the expense of risking my OMI holding....way too risky imo....tried before with other shares previously and always tended to lose out....the spread alone on OMI is way too big to take such a risk imo and then if you do sell and try to buy back a large amount, the MMs will just make it impossible....so will just play the waiting game with OMI. When Newmont announced their intention to invest in OMI, the sp multipied very quickly. With the right news, i expect the sp will do the same especially after such a long void of positive news here.

Yes indeed. GGP looking good at the moment due to positive drilling results....A wiff of positive news here and the sp will rocket imo...it will catch many out and may well be very difficult to buy in due to MM games and very low shares available....just a waiting game for me.....

Seems they don't want to allow people to buy at lower levels...strange....seems the MMs want to screw both buyers and sellers at the same time....a bit of buying and they raise the ask...

Most of my buys tend to show on NEX for some reason....agree with your views on GGP....also when sentiment and confidence does return here, I expect the sp will recover quickly and in a big way....market cap is so low and relatively few shares available so just waiting and topping up when I can....looking for a big result here eventually

Just topped up 20k shares at just under 2.7p, will probably go lower with my luck, who knows, but have to take the chance whilst the sp is at these very low prices. Buy when sentiment etc is at all time lows. If and when OMI decide to give us some positives, i expect the sp will move back up very quickly. Could come any time imo.

Newmont walked away from GGP as i remember so for Newmont to make an agreement with OMI is a big thing, but it does seem OMI's hands are tied as to when Newmont decide to move things forward here. It has been a bad deal to date for shareholders. Just hope the OMI board is able to do something to get things moving after such a long time. The asset is in a hot spot no doubt but gettting things moving here has been very poor. Come on OMI, there must be something you can do to get things moving???

Markert valuation getting unreal here. So undervalued imo. Have to give it to GGP, further good drilling results, Just shows how it's sp has recovered with good drilling results. Would expect a similar reaction to OMI's sp once drilling news is announced etc. Tempting to go into GGP but would have to sell up here which i don't want to do, so all in on OMI for me. Just a waiting game for OMI to liven up imo. Wonder how much lower this really will go before we have a correction back up?

Seems we just have grin and bear it until the good news arrives.....just very frustrating seeing red constantly here....will hold either way as this will multiply several fold imo when the right news drops

Maybe they need shares as the directors have decided to buy.....if only.....

Another disappointing day with Omi....some things never change...the 1 million sell yesterday was at 2.75p....assuming the mm's want to make a profit they have to sell them on above this so can't really see the sp going much lower....

Interesting read. So basically Shareholders have done poorly over the last few years but Ignacio has been doing more that ok salary wise.....Really just sums up OMI at the moment....to be honest don't think he is bothered so much so long as he gets paid. Waiting and hoping things turn around here

Would expect OMI to recover after the last few days of falls. No doubt some are short term trading. Always risky imo but would expect people to come back into OMI whilst it is at these lows. The sp can move back up very quickly if interest picks up

Just my take on things dvharrison imo... hope my thinking proves to be correct. Even if OMI does fall a bit more, i will just top up more. Time will tell. Sometimes better to let things come to you then trying to do the chasing is the way i look at shares, especially aim listed ones, these days

This is the thing, after Newmont left GGP the sp fell and sentiment was at a low point with the sp suffering and falling to around 1p. My big mistake was to sell then. At around 1p all the negativity was built in so the upside was much more probable. Now with OMI the same thing is happening i feel so buying at these lows makes good sense imo as the upside for OMI is also now a much bigger probability. Newmont are still here, despite their slow pace, Urugauy is sorted more or less and the Anza project is in a hot zone. So all positive going forward....
