Good overall webinar from Brad. Should get some results in a couple of weeks and the selling over the last few months looks to have been coming from the 10 million shares given to settle the previous Uruguay project. He also indicated that the selling should be over soon maybe in a couple of weeks i believe. Was wondering why we were getting so many sells over the last few months...maybe this was the reason. Either way less selling going forward, more drilling results in a couple of weeks, a new project in the pipeline, no funding needed, drilling results to date are positive and in line with expectations, Brad confident that Newmont/Agnico will proceed with the next stage. So all looking very positive imo....crazy that the sp closed in the red though it did recover a bit near the close of play. All is looking way more positive now so really expecting to see the sp moving back upwards over the coming days/weeks.

Not a great deal of funding needed for this new project....

1. Earn 51% interest by spending US$1 million over a 24 month period.
2. Earn an additional 24% interest by spending a further US$2 million over a subsequent 24 month period.

Only US$1 million needed over the next 24 months. OMI have cash of $6 million already in the bank, a further $4 million very likely due from Newmont/Agnico in September. Their cash burn is low so can't see any need for a placing for a long time. Also if warrants are exercised then extra revenue will be added to the balance sheet. MMs were always going to drop the sp after such a big rise but the trend is very much up and i expect to see the sp start moving back up now as those that wanted to sell would now have sold at these levels. All looking very positive now. Also trying to trade this share is difficult due to spread and difficulty buying back largish amounts.

Well i bet today's RNS surprised most. Just shows how Brad is starting to look ahead. A new project with minimal costs, and OMI already have a strong balance sheet so cant see any funding needed for this new project. Great drilling results from yesterday's RNS suggests Newmont and Agnico will be eager to fund the next stages and i would say Brad very much knows this will happen. Covid delays are relaxing and OMI are past the worst from what Brad said, dry season coming so drilling etc will get easier......Many positives coming into play now....Looks very much like this sleeping pheonix has woken up.

Positive news after a drought of good news for a very long time. Sp has moved back up strongly, there will be sellers on the way back up. This is a good thing as it allows the froth to be tempered, but the negativity has been countered now with today's RNS. The sp will settle for a bit but i expect it to move back up even higher over the day and much more tomorrow following the webinar.

That is true StarBright but it seems very timely to deliver the RNS on the day of the webinar...either way the results are very positive and the sp has had a major boost that has been a long time coming. Lack of news has eroded the sp in a big way and has resulted in a lot of negative speculation, however now clarity has been restored.

Seems a calculated decision to release the RNS on the day of the Webinar imo....means Brad will get a much easier time on the Webinar than he otherwise would have got. The drop in the sp has been exaserbated by a lack of positive news from OMI. Just hope going forward the comms will be much better. Today's RNS just shows how the sp can turnaround and erase many days/weeks of drops. All looking very bullish now. More confidence and better sentiment will push the sp upwards in a big way imo. The trend is now back up

Great RNS and many positives. The sp has been battered way down for too long and is now due a big bounce back up. With more clarity finally from OMI, all is looking positive. Will be difficult to get shares at these low prices now. Was hoping to buy in at these levels but looks like i missed the chance. Either way happy to see some good news and the sp moving back up.

Looks good to me....funny how it is released on the day of the webinar.....that said many positives highlighted included other labs being used to analyse samples......a blue day and many more to come now I expect

Tend to agree on no RNS before the webinar. Have registered for the webinar and hope to hear some postives about how the drilling etc is progressing. There has been a real lack of anything positive coming out of OMI over the last few months so hoping Brad will finally be able to improve sentiment with what he says....

If only we could all judge the market tops and bottoms Impecunious2....I dont think anyone could really predict the continuous drop in the sp over the last few months, unless you were in the know....wonder if bigger players got the nod to sell earlier? It also seems that the sp has had no real support for a very long time and i do think the BOD don't care about the low sp at this time. It probably works in their benefit as i do expect some big director buys soon with these low levels. The sentiment now is very low and pessimism is high imo so that would suggest this is a buy area i guess. It is wise to sell when all is looking good it would seem, however judging that time can be rather tricky and there is always the risk of selling too early and missing out on bigger gains

i'd be surprised if Bhargav has sold up. He was in OMI from a long time ago and stayed the distance for a long time and was always very positive about OMI, however the last few months have been horrendus so i guess many would have just thrown in the towel, understandably. Like many i wish i had sold a long time ago so i could buy back at this crazy low price...hindsight....Well i guess no good news before the webinar unless Brad is leaving it to the last minute...not holding my breath as OMI has been full of disappointmrnt for so long now...then again we could all be surprised by the unexpected

The news flow is very poor from OMI and it does feel like a concerted effort to let the sp fall continuously. This has been going on for months and nothing positive has come from OMI over this time. Very poor performance from a shareholders point of view. I do think the OMI BOD are happy for the sp to be where it is. Maybe they do want to buy in at a dirt cheap price. This is what it seems to be imo. either way i do think the sp will re trace back up to much higher levels, Just need the right catalyst for this to happen. Will keep holding as i still have confidence that this will be worth much more over the coming weeks/months

Hope we do finally get some good news here very soon after what has been a very long time without any positives. I would assume they would have a good idea what they have from the initial drill cores, as you say middleEastMoney, so i assume they would have a good idea where and how to drill with the info at hand despite not getting a full lab analysis. Would be good if Brad could give us some positives relating to this. We have been waiting for an excessive amount of time for some good news.

Really hope there are some positives this time in the webinar that the market is positive about. Would expect and hope so. The previous conference call proved bad for the sp. Lets see if Brad can give us some positives after several months of real despair here.

And the red days continue day after day...does seem that OMI are not bothered about the very poor performance of the sp and so to me that says to me that they are not bothered about shareholders. I do believe the sp is being heavily manipulated by forces in the background and either the BOD are oblivious to this or don't care... have to say my faith in the OMI board at this stage in non existant. Does seem the sp could just keep falling, if nothing material changes, despite have 2 big players involed and a strong balance sheet. At some point the sp will reach a low point and will then go up....whenever that is...who knows?

The fact that you only sold some would suggest you still believe in OMI but had to reduce risk, even at a loss Impecunious2. Makes good sense to be honest and i guess you could probably buy back at a profit now ironically. The thing that i find annoying is when people go positive/negative to suit their trading strategies. Hence i have fitered a couple of people for that reason. I too would have thought with the 2 big major players funding things, they would be able to find alternative ways to get drilling results out in a different way despite all the covid delays etc. I just find it difficult to believe that with Newmont and Agnico involved, the drilling results can't be fast tracked in an alternative way.

Indeed Sharetrader123. I remember last year when they did the 17p placing that that was very low in itself and now we are below even that level. Really dumbfounded that the sp is now where it is and seemingly no positives as yet to cause the sp to start the long road back up. Still a bit of good news can bring a massive move back up very quickly so a move back up at least to the mid 20s can happen very quickly imo. Just have to hold and wait i quess.

Agree Sharetrader123, this is why the level of drop in the sp is so perplexing. The drop in the sp would suggest OMI have no positives in play whatsoever and of course it is quite the opposite. I guess with such a long protracted drop in the sp, once the positives do come in to play, i expect to see the sp move back up very quickly.

Can fully understand you part selling Impecunious2...wish i had done the same a lot earlier however i was just buying on the way down but never expected the sp to be at this level...I won't bother trying to sell any of my holding, not with the sp so low. With sentiment at rock bottom and so much bad news now factored into the sp, i would think the sp has a much greater chance of going back up quite quickly if anything.

I have sold out in the past in a few other shares when all seemed doom and gloom, most notibly i sold out of GGP a few years ago, when Newmont walked away after doing their due dilligence on Earnest Giles from memory so i don't want to make the same mistake with OMI. In fact, i am hoping to buy more here if i can get the funds together in time. Time will tell.

Wonder if Brad will stick to what he said and does buy in with this very low sp in place now. I would hope he would buy in and a decent amount...that would show some much needed faith in the project. I would hope the other directors will also take up the opportunity as well.
