Good that you were able to get in at 3 to 4p Seingred. It does allow more of a safety net at such levels and a lot less stress. Trading can be a good way to get more shares ultimately but has it's risks. I ended up just buying more OMI by selling other shares to top up between 25p to 30p. Never expected the sp to get to where it is now with all that is going on with OMI but here we are. Hoping for some positives tomorrow...RNS tomorrow morning for starters maybe?

With hindsight selling on the way up and then buying at these levels would make sense....but what if the sp sky rocketed after the drilling RNS...then you would be kicking yourself maybe if you sold too early....Either way i intend to keep holding and wait for the eventual buy out of OMI's share.

I agree karl, gold is weak but it has recovered from it's lows, OMI has not and the fall has been way over done with a constant drop in the sp almost every day since the last drilling RNS and it was not a bad RNS. This constant decline is not natural imo hence my frustration. However it is what it is and let's see what tomorrow brings

A bit of blue today which has been wiped out, not surprised to be honest....really does seem like the sp is being surpressed. This is not the normal behaviour of the sp. It should have recovered a little at least from the drop which started over 3 weeks ago. Wish i could ask a direct question to the BOD about the poor sp performance....they would never answer such a question obviously. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Hope we get some clarity of things going forward tomorrow and some well needed positive movement in the sp.

Good luck with the studying Bhargav...sometimes it can be good to get away from the bulletin boards.Need to do this myself...lol... :). OMI is in a much better position despite the sp being at such a low, unfathomable level. However drilling is gearing up and results are coming out so i do expect a much stronger sp going forward. All we need is a bit of drilling news that the market likes and the sp will move up sharply and in abig way. This time is coming very soon imo. As you suggest this is a great opportunity for big rewards hence i will stay the distance...don't want to miss out like i did with GGP....hoping for fireworks starting tomorrow...

Nice to see you posting back here bhargav...you seem to have disappeared for a couple of weeks....however good post and yes a spark of good news could see the sp double very quickly...really thinking we will get some big news in the conference call and a fair chance of some drilling news tomorrow first thing, though not banking on it, which would coincide well for the conference call at the end of the trading day.

With a more market favourable RNS, i would expect the sp to rocket upwards very quickly. Seen this on so many resource stocks lately that have been flatlining or declining for a while and the right rns causes their sp's to rocket. just need that positive spark and the sp could easily double in an instant imo. The first drill was really more to understand the geography so the next set of results would really be the sweet spot so to speak imo. With the conference call tomorrow it is very likely we will get some positive insights into this project. Conference call is at close of play tomorrow so buying now would make sense imo for those waiting for an entry

Newmont and Agnico as partners in a good location for drilling and a favourable polictical system. All key ingrediants for some really big results as we progress here. With this in mind £2 is a minimum in my mind as a share price target. I also do think OMI's share will be bought out in time. Either way the sp should build up as more drilling results come out. Still can't understand, with the info at hand, why the sp has been at these levels for so long. Hoping for some good things from the conference call tomorrow and a chance of an RNS tomorrow morning to set the stage?

So no drilling rns this morning....if we do get an rns tomorrow morning then it should hopefully set a more positive tone for the conference call...just have to wait I guess

The way the sp has been on a downtrend for over 3 weeks now just seems so strange hence my thinking maybe something is happening in the backgroung dryland....just my opinion with such a protracted drop despite all the positive fundamentals, maybe the powers that be are just trying to get the sp as low as possible by attrition in readyness for some big news. It would be great to get some positive drilling news before the conference call and yes it would make sense to get some good news out to boost sentiment in the conference call. If it does go below 20p i will do a small top up but i would rather not have the opportunity to as i hope this is the low now. Time will tell

It has gone very quiet here, sp been in a long downtrend, volume low, seems like no drilling news before conference call unless they are holding it back for strategic reasons. Very strange sp behaviour and it does feel like it has been surpressed for a long time....however this could spark to life in an instant and i sense that something big is happening in the background as the last few weeks sp behaviour does seem very unusual imo....with 2 big players on board etc etc, something big will inevitably happen very soon imo

Drilling news due anytime, conference call on thursday and still the MMs are holding the sp back. The sp moved up a little on Friday but the surpression still seems in place. Unbelievable. The sp must be due a big move up anytime imo.

I would assume next drilling results early next week before the conference call on thursday the 18th. Hopefully the results will be better received by the market and there will be a lot of positivety surrounding these results. The sp has been battered down for 3 weeks now so there is far more scope for an upswing in the sp with the next results imo. Also i would hope and expect some solid upodates in the conference call to further boost the sp and sentiment

Another good Kitco interview with the CEO of Agnico. Agnico have been in the mining game for a very long time and so have a lot of knowledge and experience. This just adds even greater assurance that they are part of the project with Newmont and OMI. The CEO said he was not worried about the present price of gold and saw the price going up with a likely increase in general inflation though there should not be a general problem with input costs. All positive for gold going forward. Also he suggested there is a need for "smart consolidation" in the industry and where "good assets go into stronger hands".....mmm ties well with a buyout of OMI's stake at some point imo...reading between the lines. All looking good for OMI as drilling progresses.

I've seen a few videos from Kitco as well Impecunious2 over the last few months and agree with you. It's a great source of knowledge about the workings of the market generally and for gold.

I think a buyout of OMI's share is inevitable and so whatever happens to the sp now, it will be far higher going forward.

Another great interview....this indicates gold is pretty much at the bottom with a move upto about $2100 by mid year with more upside in the latter part of the year...the trader interviewed said smart money was now going into gold....with more US dollars being printed and the threat of inflation, gold is seen as a safe haven. All good for OMI going forward....wonder when the sp will finally shift to the upside. The last 2 weeks or so have seen the sp dropped almost every day. This drop is way over done and i would say there are big things happening in the background and the sp has been manipulated down purposely. That said i think the sp will be let loose very soon and expect to see a big re trace upwards. Wonder if the next drilling results and/or the conference call will bring out some big positive news?

Same here, topped up 3 times in the last week or so and virtually no more funds left, however if the MMs decide to take the sp below 20p i will do a final small top up. Hopefully i wont get this chance and the sp will start to recover from these levels. As you say dryland news due very soon.
