wide spread showing...seems MMs dont want to be caught out so making trading that more tricky...just a matter of time before we really get a big move upwards...wonder how much longer?

With Newmont/Agnico taking over operations of Anza, this must be a good thing imo as this would hopefully lead to a faster drilling/assesment campaign etc but then why has the sp fallen so much...since Loryser have been out the sp has continued the slide....really makes no sense to me. Either way i'm keeping tight hold of my shares and will look to top up at these levels if and when possible.

Hi saint-tropez. Not seen you here for a while....yes i do agree. With GGP it does seem buy the rumour, sell the news but with OMI if the right news drops the sp does go up in a big way but we have to suffer long spells of the sp just constantly drifting down. With the extended drop in the sp to such a low level, i do anticipate a big move upwards with the next drilling/project news item. A doubling to the 30p mark would not surprise me in the least. Holding and waiting

The best strategy is to get in whilst the sp is in the doldrums....i also do feel things are happening in the background that we mere shareholders are not privy to. The fundamentals are strong, the bank balance is healthy, and we have Newmont/Agnico that have recently decided to continue with their investment here....all good except for the very poor sp. The sp will come good once we get some drilling/project details. Till then hold and buy where possible is my thinking.

Well seems like a complete lack of any decent news from OMI....very poor from OMI and Brad have to say. Brad may well be knowledgeable however his comms skills are lacking sadly. That said with Newmont taking over the reigns i guess they will control the newsflow. So it seems best to accept the status quo and just top up as and when possible as for sure the sp will reverse back to the upside in a big way, just when is difficult to say. Holding and will just keep topping up when i can. Once decent newsflow starts, then i guess we will see some big moves back up.

I think the psychology goes that people feel safer to buy when the sp is rising but seem more fearful and sell when the sp is falling....makes no real logical sense and the MMs know how the play with human behaviour and psychology. In reality with OMI having such strong fundamentals and the sp being this low, this is the best time to top up or buy in imo. When the sp gets a sniff of good news, it will shoot up very quickly imo

The sp has been in the doldrums for a long time now and has reached a very low point despite the fact that the fundamentals are strong...why else would Newmont/Agnico continue with their investment here? i do think we are way overdue news regarding drilling etc and expect some solid news to drop anytime now. I also topped up on Friday as the sp is just blantantly way undervalued at this price imo

Couldn't resist any further and made another top up. With the sp at these levels had to sell elsewhere reluctantly to top up here. The sp is due a big bounce up imo so had to take the opportunity.

Good to have your overview of things bhargav, sounds like you see some good positive developments over the coming months, which are a long time coming imo. I'm still holding and have been adding small amounts when i can also. Looking forward to some positive developments here after such a long protracted decline in the sp. A bit of postive drilling/other project news will move the sp upwards very quickly imo so all to play for with the sp at such a low level

Been a long time since you posted here bhargav...was wondering why you stopped posting...crossed my mind that maybe you had sold out, but then again you have been here for a long time and have always been bullish on OMI. Glad to see you are still here and nice to know Brad has said everything is going well despite the very poor sp. I do think things are progressing well especially now Newmont/Agnico have continued with their investment here but just cannot believe the sp is at this low level despite the strong fundamentals....it does seem that lack of comms from Brad is contributing to the poor sp performance, but hopefully we will get some solid drilling info etc very soon...:)

Yeah, lack of any recent drilling news adding to the sp weakness. The drip down continues daily but should reverse anytime.

And ironically i bailed from GGP a few years ago when Newmont decided not to continue after doing their due dilligence on a GGP project...this was clearly a big mistake on my part but won't risk losing out on OMI who have Newmont and Agnico who have continued with their investment here. They clearly know what they are doing. The sp is so low now with the fundamentals in play. Just wish i had more available funds to buy more shares here. May reluctantly have to sell elsewhere to buy more here at such a ridiculously low price.

The sell off is more than likely due to people getting fed up with the long wait and lack of any drilling news of late. Also i think maybe some stop losses have been triggered...Newmont/Agnico would not continue with their investment if there were problems...I would say Newmont/Agnico know way more than any of us shareholders....follow the big boys lead imo

Well if it is the sp should still not be this low as the tin mine deal did very little in boosting the sp in the first place, That said i dont think there is any issue with the tin mine deal imo. The present drop just seems like a vicious circle down ie no news means people get fed up and sell and the MMs happily let the sp fall day after day. I do think that maybe some stop losses may be being triggered at these levels to compound the problem. The sp must be due a big bounce as it is way oversold imo

Agree. Feels like the OMI board are useless in generating shareholder value and it seems many have got fed up and are selling. Sometimes at the height of pessimism, something positive appears. I am very fed and frustrated with seeing the sp falling almost every day but will just keep holding and top at these levels when i can. I still believe big news regarding drilling etc in so close now. Newmont/Agnico have agreed to continue with their investment so clearly they are positive about the present situation despite the very poor sp. They know way more than us shareholders so best to follow the big boys imo

So much pressure to the downside for so long but this could change in an instant with the right news. We are way overdue drilling news etc so big news can come anytime imo and with the sp so low, i would expect a very big move back up with the right news

Agree, the sp pattern is getting very predictable. We get a day or so of big rises followed by weeks/months of declines. OMI generally only drop RNS's in the morning on certain days so really could do with good RNS's being dropped at random times on different days. Come on Brad we don't have the luxury if dividends so have to rely on the sp increasing to justify our investment...must be a big juicy RNS due to drop anytime now?

Newmont have recently agreed to the next investment phase so they clearly are positive so i don't think there are any negaitves relating to majors selling, however the constant selling is getting very frustrating. Really do need some positives from Brad. The sp performance is a bad joke with the strong fundamentals that we have here

Have to agree about poor comms about drilling etc. The sp just keeps getting dragged down virtually every day. A very disappointing share to hold sadly have to say. But we know when positive news comes how quickly the sp can rise and erase all the previous days/weeks of losses. The wait continues

Does seem OMI is a poor share to hold without any really good news to support it. It just keeps getting manipulated down by bigger forces. The sp performance over the last several months has been poor to say the least despite strong fundamentals that are imo much stronger than many aim shares. However we have not had any big drilling news or new project news for a long time and i do expect such news to be released at any time now. This is when the sp will really take off in a big way imo. Just have to hold and top up whilst one can before the big take off imo.
