Having watched some general share price value destruction this week SHG's consideration of the following example would be welcomed:

During April I took up a small quantity (7.5k) of i3E. This week they announced an increased monthly divi. My initial purpose was to be invested for the medium term. The prospect of a steady return changes the picture.

At some point - finances permitting - I would like to see Shanta retaining investor attention by introducing a similar scheme. New Luika and Singida will underpin ops whilst W Kenya exploration goes from strength to strength. Admittedly I have remained biased on Bushi/Isulu/Ramula's future but would prefer to see consistency with share price by whatever means possible.

West Kenya has a meaningful Au resource. Anecdotal evidence over 60 years supports the extensive drilling at Lihranda. Being equally familiar with NW Zambian Cu domes (Kabompa, etc) I persisted with ARCM. Yesterday a JV with AAL was announced. A similar prospect awaits SHG.

We are again climbing, following a hiccup, mostly on the back of large volumes on the TSX.
Another 5% tomorrow if it returns to $1.10?

There are a string of warnings from OPEC+ which should be considered by all of us. My general satisfaction with JSE - because of volatility (92p to £1.05) - has limits and for safety I have spread risk across an assortment of O&G stocks. Whilst there has been progress from 65p the up and down nature of the SP is unfortunate.

The line up of investments now includes N American interests such as I3E and SOUC. Oddly the last-mentioned has shown a 40% gain in quick time whilst attracting little attention.

It would be reassuring if PB could get cracking on pending challenges, one of them Maari which has been a drag on proceedings.

Digressing, having examined what little I know on the hydrogen subject, a fair whack has been thrown at ATOM and CHP2. Olivier Mussat, who could have taken up an assortment of very senior positions, has thrown his weight behind the company.

Are they dumps or swaps?

An increased "head count with ten additional process, mechanical, and electrical engineers joining imminently, and a new head of production has been identified and will join in due course".

How soon is "imminent"? Are they already in the shed? And how is the materials' supply line going? Get some news out and I might add here. In the meantime we have drifted well below the 50s.

Yet, if anything, SOUC/SOU is accelerating on the TSX.
And many folk over there have twinned them.

Any views as to why Canadians continue to offload ITE?

With SOUC already rising to $1.16 a.m. I clearly made a mistake by not adding today.

The 4 late buys @ 68p are Canadian trades because of logjam on TSX.

Breq - Difficult to say for certain. IP rates were anticipated but some companies' numbers are only disclosed after 30 days. Batch drilling on a short trackway is more intricate than a single well. I'll keep an eye open on the MSOGB from the end of May. One query: will data only follow when connections to HH are completed and tested?

I'm in CHAR, DELT, I3E, IOG, SOU and SQZ but none of them have been examined as much as SOUC. 8Capital's research note was compelling and I reacted with two more buys. Whether it achieves $5 is not important at this stage.

Suffice to say there are several fellas in the City who are keeping a close eye on developments.

One $ has been cracked again. At some stage it's going to hold and gain momentum.

Having added steadily after a fixation and understanding of the dome region, I just hope JvS will bring the ship in. Haven't written on the board for several months. If there is a grumble it is a perception over management being hunkered down in Sandton (or wherever) instead of being visible on the ground in the NW.

By contrast Eric Zurrin is regularly covering the WK camps and the Lupa goldfield, Tanz. It is one reason why I remain heavily invested in SHG.

My final top up is relatively small (25k). Have noted, however, that two late trades were logged later . . . should be a fair wind tomorrow.
