It gets a later mention but this company is rapidly changing its shape. I said a couple of days ago its now a start-up with CC in charge:

"Avacta’s stated ambition is to oversee widespread licencing, partnering and technological collaborations of its pre|CISION® and Affimer platform technologies plus related IP, along with selected in-house therapeutic developments, for the benefit of both global healthcare and its shareholders."

Avacta has three main interlinked IP families. Firstly, comes the foundational IP, which is the background platform IP of the pre|CISION® FAP-cleavable peptide drug conjugate that was exclusively licenced to Avacta by Bach Biosciences in 2018 (with the patent itself expiring in 2035). Secondly is the sustained release pre|CISION® mechanism that was invented and is wholly-owned by Avacta. The Board considers this technology, which opens up multiple different therapeutic options and opportunities for the Group, provides an effective reset for its entire portfolio (with its Program IP patent expiry in 2045). The third family is the pre|CISION® FAP-cleavable biologic drug conjugate IP, which is co-owned by Avacta and Tufts University, with Avacta having an exclusive sublicense to the technology (patent expiry 2041).

Actually....now that I think about it I really don't give a FF.

Bryant (exClinigen ceo) took it from £10m to 1.3bn

Now leads 5bn HCRx, backed bridgebio with 300m upfront, joined Avacta on 28 May

Almost like waiting for an official account was too slow.

So it seems CC and YB are old mate's. Power to their elbow. Lots of the very best start-ups included old friends....and I'm beginning to class Avacta/CC as a start-up.
