Malaysia manufacturing is also being used for schurter. The smt and binder patents bit of an unknown until they provide an update. You'd think the schurter progress is good news but not much reaction. Maybe the results update will provide more details must be confident if holding a conference and willing to answer questions

Yep i see that it was just that they released a reflow solder product 12yrs ago and as parkez says false dawn so it must have failed. Let's hope this time it works and generates huge sales volumes

CAP-XX releases prototype SMD supercapacitor for licensing evaluation

The Company announces that CAP-XX is ready to ship prototypes of its new surface mount

supercapacitor to potential licensees. These surface mount devices are suited for applications for

high volume devices, where re-flow solder board assembly is deployed, notably smart phones.

The Company has employed an additional sales manager to cover Asia where it is experiencing

growth in demand for its devices. He is a Korean national with experience in passive component

sales including supercapacitors, in Asia, North America and Europe.

Meanwhile, the Company is experiencing increasing interest from the US and India for its automotive

supercapacitors and is in discussions on licensing.

CAP-XX expects to report sales in A$ for the half year to December 31st , 21% ahead of the

corresponding period of 2012/13. Cash is expected to be A$2.7m as at 31st December. Together with

the cost reduction programme - which continues to deliver savings and improved gross margins - a

weakening A$ has helped the Company meet market expectations for the half year, and views the

remainder of its financial year with confidence

Ok just out of interest cpx released smd products in 2012 so why is this smt patent so breakthrough to what they had back then or did it fail testing and never got released

Well they must be doing something with it let's hope some breakthrough products appear soon which would be a welcome surprise and i guess explain all the excitement. Thing is if schurter have all this new tech in their products what would be the impact on the legacy products. Hope the update clarifies all this as the sp could do with a lift.

He used to be invested here a lth and was quite negative sometimes but probably realistic about things look up some of his posts you'll see. Hopefully positive news will arrive at long last

By the sp reaction the news everyone obviously wants is contracts preferably with numbers. More distributors, mou's, or market reports isn't having the desired effect. I think we'll only be getting progress with schurter and h1 results soon anything else will be a bonus

I assume you mean hostile takeover by schurter. If that fits with capvis maybe anything that makes them money. I would hope schurters investment is to increase value and make a substantial return instead of a planning a takeover

Profits are not expected until end of FY26 let's hope everything else is on track or ahead so that a 2p lowball estimate looks good value. Seems a long way off from here but perceptions can quickly change whoever keeps selling all these shares has a very different opinion to what dr cooley thinks
