Yesterday, the German Bundestag adopted a higher greenhouse gas reduction quota (GHG quota) for fuels in the transport sector and also raised the RFNBO quotas.

This is a clear signal for the German market and creates reliable framework conditions for the hydrogen ramp-up.

The draft law "for the further development of the GHG quota" was amended in the parliamentary procedure and is now much more ambitious than originally envisaged by the federal government.

For example, the gradual increase in the GHG quota for road transport fuels has been increased from 59 per cent in 2040 to 65 per cent. The RFNBO quotas are also higher than originally planned and now amount to 1.5% in 2030 (instead of 1.2%) and already 3% in 2032 (originally 1.5%). The target is a share of 10% RFNBO in 2040.

For market players, this will create a long-term and plannable development path for green hydrogen in transport. This is an important demand impulse that will help to break through the much-lamented "chicken-and-egg problem".

Yesterday's decision by the Bundestag is an important milestone on the way to a climate-neutral transport sector. It reduces dependence on fossil energy imports, strengthens our resilience and thus Germany as a business location as a whole.

One of the other thing to consider. There might be other shorters less than half percent, they might be closing too in the meantime. We don't know that, we will never will.

And another good news dropped yesterday from EU. Green Hydrogen rules will be reviewed this quarter two years ahead, instead of 2028 due to the war. EU will also explore whether nuclear power could be recognised as a qualifying electricity source for RFNBO-compliant green hydrogen.

Germany’s parliament is set to vote this week on a revised bill that sets new ambitious mandates for the proportion of green hydrogen-based fuel distributed to the road and rail transport sector in the country — doubling its previous proposals for 2032.

Wonderful answers. Let's admit, this is just the beginning. Ask this question next year, with the more developments and fair winds changing on hydrogen, our targets may change. We may say no way we are selling for £5 for example, or better to have a mortgage with potential low interest rates.

I consider myself very lucky now. Filled my ISA on 7th last week, first day of the tax year at 62p. And my wife's too at 74p two days after.

And it is crazy to think that last year these days we were puzzled about how this share could be worth 27p only. Multibagger already? Yes it is for some:)

Proper short squeeze just started today, why anyone would want to sell now.

Not sure selling is a good idea when there is a short squeeze we have been waiting for months, for me is same thing as helping shorters but of course take your decision yourself, do your homework as they say.
