There are some broker target changes for BOO but still the broker targets are mostly buys and the share has continued to fall. It's not uncommon for brokers as a whole to be positive on a share and yet the share falls sharply. BOO is just an example, there are so many others. ASC for example..

If Omicron is just a scam/farce then IAG should rise well tomorrow as big-blue outlines..

Everyones opinion is valid. Some will be correct and others will be incorrect though. Time will tell..

It's clear most of this board believes Omicron is a farce, a cold etc. It's an incorrect read of the reality.

IAG down 5% over the coming week I believe..

Omicron and how the government react go hand in hand. Some governments will be proactive in restrictions such as the Netherlands. Some, such as ours, who do not have total control (Boris currently struggling to get new restrictions through parliament due to rebels in his own party) will hold out until the Omicron hospitalisation rate forces them to act.

Boris has lied and uturned on countless issues for so long. His authority is completely eroded. The right in his party sense this is a chance for them to regain control hence the leaks/resignations..

The reality is very different. If you misread Omicron you will misread IAG. Watch as it all unfolds in the coming days/weeks...

What I am saying IAGLongterm is many of IAGs broker ratings are out of date due to Omicron moving so fast. Also that a consensus broker buy rating is no guarantee of a share price rise

It's the current Omicron situation that needs to be focused on by anyone interested in IAG investing. Not looking at older buy ratings from a month ago..

Have a look at BOO and ASC (Boohoo and ASOS) Both shares have has very predominantly positive buy recent broker ratings whilst their share prices have plummeted...

A single brokers view cannot be relied on....

Yes. Brokers however often get things wrong. So many shares fail despite brokers having buy ratings right up until they go bankrupt..

Many of the IAG buy ratings are from a while ago. The Omicron situation is changing hugely daily. Broker ratings are becoming outdated rapidly in the current situation.

There are many, many shares which are currently plummeting despite having numerous big broker buy ratings. Take BOO for example..

He will put in restrictions because Omicron rates of hospitalisation will dictate that.

It will be too little too late though. Other European countries are showing the sort of measures that are needed at this moment.

With Boris politically hamstrung by the right of his party he will not be able to put in the restrictions needed to control hospitalisations. They will mushroom higher. The public will lockdown themselves as the NHS fails to cope with the huge increase..

We will see higher hospitalisations than other waves if the government does not act swiftly with more restrictions. Downplaying this issue will sink many share portfolios...
