Thanks for your post. Do you have a link to the source of the spot price (£2) you are giving? The graph I look at on https://www.catalyst-commercial.co.uk/wholesale-gas-prices/ (for day ahead wholesale prices) last showed around £3 a therm so I am trying to figure where the difference is arising.

I find the filter works really well. A quick review of perhaps a dozen posts shows whether a poster has anything of interest to add to the board, or whether there is just ramping/deramping intent. Cutting out time-wasters is really worth the effort.

Your work in the 80's now appears to be paying off for all concerned. The information on those maps has probably been transferred to the computer systems being used to plan exploration drilling and resource evaluation etc.

If £247m is all new equity and buys 30% of the enlarged ALK, then 100% would be worth £823m (after financing) and ALK pre financing would be worth £576m. Given the market cap'n currently is just under £20m, I think that is over-egging it. If the figures were the other way around and £247m bought 70%, then the valuation pre financing would be £105m which would still be 5 times the current valuation. If the £247m financing buys 90%, the value of the company pre financing would be £27.4m which would still be a very significant increase on the current situation. The outcome will depend on how many finance providers there are who are keen to get a slice of the action which in turn will depend on the likely valuation when up and running. If the finance providers can see a X times upside on their £247m then perhaps they will not be averse to the big risk takers i.e. us, also having a X times upside.
PA is probably hoping that some of the £247m will be debt finance, so a lower percentage of the equity will be exchanged for the finance.
All will soon be revealed, but ALK is clearly moving rapidly in the right direction. Exciting times.

I think that is the approx location of the Wheal Maid Decline (WMD). I have heard nothing about that being opened up so it is probably just a coincidence but if it were to be opened, diggers would be likely to be used. I suspect that to go down the decline, ventilation would be needed or breathing apparatus.
Drilling down the Tuckingmill decline at SC is on-going so perhaps the same will happen at the WMD?

The purpose of putting it into the RNS is to make people aware of it. Laudable.
Given the very attractive market backdrop (loads of unsatisfied demand - given ALK is a leader in this area, given the strategic need, given the access to low cost power and ALK's short time to production, I suspect financiers will be competing to get involved. Extremely good news for the existing shareholders. If you are short, I would be very worried.
