Furthermore... as "boring" as today's activity might appear it's much healthier than the roller-coaster.
The trouble with the big swings is that 99.9% of us don't know where it will lead and we certainly wont be in the kind of state of mind to sell at the appropriate time.
The "missing out" psychology then kicks in leading to selling out too cheaply. Remember these institutions tend to have more time than we do, they don't really care as they are dealing with hundreds of different companies so 15% up on Company A makes up for 10% down on Company B
We know who loses out here when psychology and human behaviour is at play, which is why rampers and derampers constantly mine that seam.
Well said Parm.
I, for one, am grateful that this appears to have settled for now.
What this share doesn't need, in my view, almost as much as the bashers are the overt cheerleaders. They're almost as dangerous.
They may (in most cases) be well intentioned in "defending" us but I don't need to be protected from my own investment decisions.
At all points we need crystal clear heads and a laser-guided focus on the objective rather than the journey.
Those of us who say "it's a bit of harmless fun, what's the problem" don't really see that this leaves the door ajar for folk to commence attacks to de-stabalise which in turn provokes a reaction and the whole cycle of disruption continues. Disruption breeds uncertainty and uncertainty leads us to make wrong calls.
All of us need to just calm down, centre ourselves and remember why we are here and if that means filtering 50 people at both ends of the spectrum then that level of BB-enema (enjoy your breakfast, lol) is a must - because most of it isn't research and some of it will stick and lead to errors.
If you had a spare 10k knocking about (or 1k if you're into Spread Betting), knowing what you know and what you've witnessed here over the last three days...
Would you invest in SYME?
It's a yes from me...nothing has changed
An extremely long day of pointlessness.
You've sold. That's life.
The company still exists and the foundations continue to be laid.
As I said bloody hours ago, perhaps there is an institutional disposal and perhaps THAT'S the reason we have dropped over the last 7-10 days?
That's it. It happens all the time and if companies lived or died by what institutions MIGHT be doing then there would be no point having a business
Parm - sorry just seen your post.
Probably too many reasons to mention.
We've seen on here that personal circumstances, pi set deadlines, human psychology etc play a big part in all of our approaches.
Can't deny da's post made me a bit edgy but I don't believe him to be insencere, just different to me!
...has every right to post his concerns. I happen to think it's not as big as deal as being made out because the company is built on a model first and the financial structure second.
Further...
The SP has gone from a solid 0.5p to a solid 0.4p. That 20% drop could be reflective enough of a large disposal being worked through, right?
I'm in this for the fundamentals and company prospects - the machinations over ii ownership / disposals / acquisition is neither here nor there. It happens every hour of every day in any robust listed company. I never invested in SYME over institutional ownership as my tempter. That would be madness.
Question for me is whether the model is flawed or not. And it's not.
We're not poking holes into a "prospect" that might generate a few million barrells of oil if every single variable met is favourable.
We're not jumping into a penny share pharma which, with a tailwind of expensive product development and regulatory hoops, might deliver a world-leading cure for asthma in 7-10 years time.
Seems to me that the only variable here is the stuff waaaaaay above our heads - the comings and goings of companies that won't blink if they move away and syme rockets. It makes no odds to most of these institutions.
IMO
Focus on the important stuff and ignore the disruptors.
For this to fail now would be quite the considerable con-job given how far we have progressed and who we have brought into the fold.
Why would these new folk risk prison time, ffs!?
Let's all step away - all of thie negative sentiment is driven purely by the current share price. And if you're in it for immediate returns then wake up and smell the double espresso
Hope your day goes as well as can be expected in the circumstances AP
