A legal agreement is all very well but how will SoA ever be able to manage a bond issue float in that climate ?
I repeat ; my view is that it will probably never happen which does not make my statement "Untrue".

From what I see and hear the National debt crisis in the US , for the moment , is on the back burner .
All States are seriously impacted with huge debts over a long period of time which have now been compounded with the Covid crisis , unimaginable unemployment , and an economy that effectively prohibits raising taxes through the usual channels .
Several Staes are bankrupt . Alaska is most certainly in a very difficult position . The Current unemployment support program will end in July , and even the easing of lockdown is unlikely to bring much comfort short term as so many businesses have disappeared .
Add to all that a Nation (Once the world`s leading economy) in both Social and Political crisis and confusion , an election in November and then there are disturbing World events , China ...etc . I could go on , you all get the picture .
Bottom line : NO Oil Credits from SoA .
Even if they could pay they will likely obfuscate and litigate indefinitely .

On a happier note I see your merger with XCD concludes at the end of the month , surely there will be benefits for 88 shareholders as the combined businesses will undoubtedly deliver further FO opportunities for the year end / early next year .
Odds are shortening that they`ll get to that Oil eventually .

SEA7 : That is such an interesting issue .
A lot will ride on the outcome in November . If that goof Trump gets back in ( and it is possible ~ surprisingly ~ imo ) then change is likely to be muted for the next four years . If the Dems win the Presidency big changes are likely , if the Dems win back the Senate there again I think that will likely impact the fracking industry which would appear to have at least reached its zenith , there`s huge resistance from some quarters . I just can`t see volume demand for oil reaching anything like previous highs any time soon , worse still , if this wretched virus takes off again , it is going to be very difficult to make predictions with any great sense of accuracy .
GAS is the way forward , at least into the medium term . imo .
Fwiw ~ I also feel we must be getting close to some positive news flow .

H / Thordon : Thanks . I have no idea as to the extent this business requires expertise or in which areas . I could take a guess and I certainly have a view about where expertise and professionalism might be improved !
As I think I mentioned in some recent post , we might be better served at some time into the future if JF and/or AF used their not insignificant (and growing ?) financial interest to demand a seat on the Board . Should that Happen perhaps we would see a rebalancing in numbers , but more importantly a greater input of knowledge , expertise and professionalism .
On the other hand , major change can be disruptive . All depends on their plans and motives .t
We need some definitive news flow , which I hope will soon be forthcoming : 3d / pipework / plant instal and connect / PAT E1 / cash burn / funds and forward plans ~~~ etc ~~~etc !
In the current climate , I`m not too bothered about `Oil` here , I think this is all about GAS , lots of it !
Oil would be a nice bonus .
Anyway , your points about employees are well made .

Hi In-Long : ~~~ Absolutely no offense taken , I never hold grudges ! Life is far too short ; shares , money and anger are not priorities for me .
There are far too many stupid arguments on these BB`s instead of valued dignified commentary and information . Disruption and argument is usually instigated by traders and spivs , constructed to obfuscate , with the objective of influencing the direction of their trades . In the main these people are easy to spot and best to ignore ~ imo .

Re Brokers : I have always used a broker . Yes , there are additional costs and no doubt unacceptable for some , but I believe any issues are far outweighed by the many benefits . I have been with the same Broker for well over twenty years , I know him both personally and professionally , he is always available and if unable to answer my call always phones me back asap .
At present I am five thousand miles away and five hours behind London , I travel a lot and In my case I need someone I trust to manage my interests should urgent issues arise . Having said that I fully accept that technology has changed the way we invest and I also have an on-line account which I can manage at a distance .

Hi Thordon ~ 20.57 ; I agree ~ Words are crucially important , which is why all investors need to read very carefully messaging both written and spoken from Company Directors empowered to manage our investment choices .
I asked my Broker for some COVID related recommendations ; he came up with six . I chose three . TLY was in part a favoured pick because I have strong historical connections with Newcastle . Pure emotion , pure luck ! The other two choices were PYC and IMM . I`m reasonably confident that all three will prove to be 2020 success stories ~ so far so good . However , bitter experience has taught me : `NEVER fall in love with a share ` . I love my babies , they are now grown men !
As mentioned , performance and funds permitting , i plan to increase my stake in all three .

Stt1 ~ Hi : I am aware of the BoD options and in the main agree with what you say ie : Board members `Should` be persuaded to work to ensure that they earn those gifted shares . The Company and ordinary shareholders benefiting from the efforts and commitment of the Directors . It`s great in theory , regrettably so often it is seriously abused . Often timing negates purchases , but I also like Directors to demonstrate support and commitment through the personal purchase of shares in the market .
In no way am I suggesting that options in TLY have or will be anything other than a genuine incentive for Directors , 27p will be a secure stepping stone for greater achievement for all of us who have an interest here . I feel confident we will pass that milestone long before this year is out .
Btw ~ I thought Mr Holt`s interview particularly encouraging and through his City contacts I am sure there will be future constructive changes to the shareholder register into the future .

I have just listened to the DW interview and would say that I was not particularly impressed , but there are certainly `Unknowns ` that should be revealed in the coming weeks and may provide a more convincing argument for investment (or reinvestment.)
Perhaps if I had used the ID : ~ V111 V111 it would have brought me a little more luck :(
