This is the new strategy. They anticipate big rises in cases but the think the risk is worth taking. It's about living with covid. All eyes on uk, but the govt need to be rolling out treatment strategies. Watch this space

So in a few weeks time the UK becomes the guinea pig, a country deciding to live normally with covid, as we do with flu. Soon the shift with move from vaccinations to treatment. It's very bold, but this could end up being Johnson defining moment. However it's going to need a massive shift in people's mentality. If england win the football that could be the catalyst for a feel good invincible attitude. It's fascinating really but all eyes on uk over the next few months

i think we will have a license in place before any govt announcement. It is much better that a govt announcement about a pill is underpinned by a global company like gsk rather than a very very small company like sareum who no-one has heard of. It would not give the population alot of confidence. I think there will be pressure put on sareum to do a deal by govt and big pharma
