Anyway, I hope trump quickly stops the war in Ukraine. Its horrible. I imagine something along the lines of the Helsinki agreement which was nearly agreed within weeks of the war starting, before Boris weighed in on behalf if his merchants of death weapons manufacturing mates. Then we should lobby for Evraz to be relisted as part of trying to normalise relations with Russia. Personally I’m a bit worried Putin might give Iran some nukes, although i expect xi is blocking that.

By woke I mean a radical left wing agenda incorporating but not necessarily restricted to: divisive critical race theory that is the opposite of MLK’s call for people to be judged by the content of their character, not the colour of their skin; extreme trans ideology including approving permanent mutilations performed on teenagers and allowing men into womens sports safe spaces and prisons; the insistence on the most extreme policy interventions to impose net zero in a futile attempt to stop the climate ever changing again, which fails to recognise that CO2 is a symbol of a much more complex web of problems relating to pollution and resource depletion which eliminating human produced CO2 will do not to solve; the abhorrent normalisation and embrace of virulent anti-semitism going hand in hand with illogically embracing radical islsm which is the opposite of progressive; a belief that a bigger state is the best way to solve all problems, and that therefore unlimited borrowing to pay for it is good. Well, I could go on, but you get my drift. The American election is a decisive rejection of this agenda.

By the way, did you know that trump’s vote barely changed from 2020? Actually shrank a bit. But this time, the republicans had observers, attorneys and stare police at every ballot counting centre. The Democrat vote shrank by 13 million. Amazing. Makes you think, doesn’t it.

Trump has not been bought by J elites, what rubbish. He’s rich in his own right. And Musk is the richest man in the world.

I’m sorry to differ, username, but starmer has imprisoned a lot if “far right thugs” from the summer riots, including people who were not even at the riots but merely posted on social media, while not imprisoning rioters from other communities, or who are rioting about issues approves by the woke elite. I call that political myself.

Thanks Offwork. BDO were appointed external auditors when Longboat listed back in November 2019. It's a UK regulatory requirement for public listed companies that external auditors have to change at least every five years - which is now. To avoid a too cosy relationship developing - see some past Company failures that auditors missed. So completely routine regulatory compliance admin.

I think we’ll settle around 50p pre farm out, then add at least £1 when that’s announced- maybe up to £1.50. So £1.50-£2 post farm out, rising as we approach kertang drill and DEEA drvelopment. Just gut feeling, and I’m going to ket this one run.

I don't wish to seem mean spirited, but in retrospect, I'm now glad that the DEWA announcement was 3 months later than anticipated. It allowed the seller to clear, so they are not around to crush this rerating (it seems clear sellers are now in quite short supply). And, forgive the schadenfreude, but I'm glad they got such a measly price in offloading their quite considerable holding.

I think its more to do with hammering out the extent of Sarawak involvement. And how much of the taxes go straight to them. Hopefully when agreement is reached operational management is delegated to Petronas. On the other hand, devolution hasn't exactly been a stellar success in the UK.

So the multi-million dollar question is, how much are they willing yo pay to buy an 84.25% stake? Therein lies the answer to future funding requirements.
