Sunbeam Gold. Lots of it.14 Nov 2023 09:22
Todays RNS is exciting. The Sunbeam property now seems to have the potential to be a big (re) discovery. Exploration companies sample, or even drill, prospective areas identified through mag or gravity surveys and the like, and come up with au assays showing a few ppb, or purely pathfinder elements. People forget this.
What we have here is a massive area, now to be expanded by 25 square kilometres, and with au at decent to excellent grades in samples across a significant portion of the property. The identified mineralised lineaments are 10 to 12 kilometres long, and I reckon the gap between the Pettigrew and Sunbeam (Roy inbetween) is around 4. All 3 lineaments can be extended north eastwards into the newly claimed area; Pettigrew in particular if you look at the mapping.
What I like is that it seems that most of the samples were 1m or less, with a max of 1.4, and, even at these numbers, results show a broad zone of mineralization with one sample, for example, showing 6.2 g/t over an interval length of 1.05m. That is significant in itself, let alone the fact that they saw 18.8 g/t within 0.3m of that channel sample. What I also like is that a “significant number of samples” were returning over 1 g/t au over a 100m strike, and this remains open.
I have seen small companies do well over 100 per cent on results like these. I just don’t think the significance is understood just yet.
