I Ted a good article on the net a while back. To summarise car use will go up after covid passes due to social distancing. People will not want to sit on crowded trains buses planes etc. So oil consumption will increase.

Something of interest to new investors.
Omega with collaboration with the burnet institute developed a rapid cd4 count test for low cd4 count for hiv infected people. this is primarily target at poor nations with limited resource. its the only poc test on the market.
They did this with very limited resources. Unlike large pharmas.
So what do people think they now may be capable of with unlimited resources behind them ?????

inmo finance is not a problem here.The reason being.
The company raised funds six months ago to see them through until sales of visitect and food intollerence came through. Of which orders were finalised before and during covid outbreak
Even before the good news re being part of the covid anti body programme was known the company had in place the following.
Being able to draw on the government scheme of interest free loans until things returned to normal together with an existing overdraft facility of two million. So to summarise inmo there is no problem re funding.

As unkrw has posted this could retrace ,but long term investors can live that with the knowledge that the three segments of the business are coming together. Even if the consortium doesnt come up with a test they will still be involved with the manufacture of one when it comes along. So still a very good outcome for omega.

INMO If political games are being played by them . It may end up costing them a lot more in donations . Not just from America, but also from some of its closest allies.

I think people are missing a key point here. Whoever develops an antibody test ODX will benefit in some form going forward due to their manufacturing capabilities. Then of course there are the three main segments of the company which are now coming together

Does any one feel that a merger is now more likely between serica and rockrose. My estimate is that if you factor in cash and decom costs they are basically valued the same

Whatever oryx reasons are. Even though I am not a big fan of them . Inmo no one can aquise them of a fast buck. They have been a holder in omega for a long time.long before me and most investors apart from employees. Its sad they are selling,but hopefully there is some kind of city deal about to happen behind the scenes where everyone benefits

Just hope new investors stay on board for the end of the long haul. Otherwise you will miss the best bits inmho so dyor

Has anyone a opinion as to why oryx have offloaded. For me I would like to still believe that a gentleman's agreement was put in place by city guys and gals. Intetested in other peoples views on this

FWIW dibs. I feel the rapid rise down to the company now becoming the next hot biotech stock. Even thou it is not it's a mixture healthcare msinly. Maybe diagnostics will be viewed as biotechs were in the 80s..
I view omega as I did protherics formerly proteus. Which btg took over. Hope to still be able to post as up omega for some time yet.

Long term holders already know I have never been a fan of oryx. This is now the third time they have done this to the shares during the past 12 months. They are very happy to subscribe to shares at ten when the rest of us have been left to purchase them in the open market above that only to watch the shares being walked down for a placing. The sooner they are gone the better inmv. This doesn't sit easy with me. However one possible explanation is that Oryx hold 30 per cent of Ekf through c mills. Maybe Ekf plan on purchasing ODX . so the selling could be to do with regulatory matters or worse they plan on holding the price down for a lower offer for Odx. Either way this is not good inmho.
Maybe they will act quickly and an offer comes in at 30 p. Probably just when the company is about to release some positive news on antibody testing. We will see. Only my opinion so dyor
