I think it is safe to say that serica is now pegged to gas futures. Hopefully some hedges have been added. What is going to be interesting is to what level the market will treat as parity. I just hope that we have now reached that level.

I'm not a big fan of special dividends,but it may now be prudent for Serica to pay one in case this comes to fruition.

It's becoming to murky for me. Each new day brings something new and not in a good way.
Our only positive is the full ownership from bo. Then again without them on board will that benefit us. For all we know they could even dump their shares now.lets hope not.

If Russia is trying to manipulate gas . Then why are they simply not buying into companies such as serica. Let alone the majors

For some reason some lth posters on here feel the need to post that Serica should either return cash to them apart from a dividend.why . Spivo talk inmo. Serica inmho is about to shine. Happy to hold .may even buy a fly wheel and geranabob.

If the gas situation becomes a national emergency. What will stop hmg nationalising gas fields. Stranger things have happened such as a national lockdown.

Surely decent dividend cover for a number of years together with a healthy balance sheet is much more attractive for long term relationship investors.inmv

For me if they could yield 6 or 7 percent per year for a few years then that would not be bad. As we both know the world is changing rapidly. So conserving cash for possible future bolt ons or diversification isnt such a bad thing inmv

There is something else to consider in my view. If the share price just stagnates for a few years and then has a run as they have done recently and similary a fews back. Then what is the problem . Especially as dividends are also now being paid.

fwiw . I dond believe the end is neigh for Serica. Quite the reverse. As for a special dividend. Why would they do that. A steady prolonged increase together with an interim would suffice me

Maybe the market is already factoring in a return of cash to shareholders. Which inmv would be the worst case scenario for Serica as the share price would adjust accordingly after the event. inmho

I would imagine that there are some long term contracts to honour. Money where does that come from to pay them off.

Inmv the problem is not the CEO.
The market ing and sales team together with the pr and house broker are the problems.let alone ex director putting in their two pennith.

If I was a past or present bod apart from the ceo I would question my own integrity. The CEO at present is the only director past and present who has not capitalised .I would say that goes a long way. For me that speaks volumes.happy to hold and add fwiw
