With respect, you are aware that the general consensus is that the stock market has another 20% to 30% left to fall? No way this price will be stable then. I'm holding cash short term for when the pants finally come down.
Difficult to believe how rude and inconsiderate people can be.
You need to search Saga again and go to the new share listing - something like Saga 15. It will update to the post consolidation share price.
Thank you for the replies, much appreciated.
If I buy in this morning as a new investor in the open market am I correct that (a) I won't be required to buy additional shares and (b) after tomorrow my holding will be consolidated without losing value if all things were constant? Thanks in advance.
I disagree. IF this hits 40p - and the chances are that it can, then I am sure there are many stop loses going to be triggered and a big - but temporary drop. I will buy back in at 37.5p
Where is the great Gareth nowadays. He never shiut up a month ago saying how this was going back to the 90's.
Now here we are after a further 15% drop and no word.. Have you changed your username, I wonder?
Maestros I too dumped them at 57p yesterday for a 15k loss and I'm with you on how much better I feel. Cant be arsed now if they go up or drop further.

Seems cruise ships are quite profitable.
Well atm I am on the sidelines after luckily escaping this share dead level. I can see the results this month being poor - but markets don't necessarily react in the way one would expect and may be relieved that things are not worse and there is a dead cat bounce. The trouble for me is (a) The debt and until I see this being reduced (regardless of banking covenants) I cannot re-invest. (b) probably as important I would want to wait for the review of the accountants they have in assessing the business and make sure they are not looking at CVAs etc.I also feel that customers will not be buying store gift certificates for the worry that they will become invalid should Debs go into administration - not sure how much money certificates are worth but leading up to Xmas I feel it could be substantial enough. Anyway, my food for thought and why the share price will continue to trade in such a narrow range for a couple more weeks.
FORGET profit - the problem is the net debt of over 300 million against a shitty market capitalisation. UNTIL markets see this reducing WITHOUT selling profitable assets then this share will remain under pressure and I see sub 10p. Reminds me of Yell many years back when they were holing far too much debt in a deteriorating market. WHY would you sell a prize asset in Norway? look at reducing costs and cancel any dividends.
Anyone know what % they held before RNS? for all we know they could have had 4.99% and so didn't have to declare it. Thanks
Time for shorts to close imo. Good RNS and potential debt reduction from sale of overseas business, thus reduced interest payments on debt. They’ve had their cake and more on shorts, not much more profit to be made so goodbye Odey et al.
“We are profitable and cash generative”.
I like this part ))
So we get a breakout to 12.50p then a quick drop back to 12p. Sucked more people in that are now down on their investment. I bought another trance at 11.95 so holding a 12.50 average (approx). As soon as this hits 13p (all fingers and toes crossed) I’m out.
Lastcall - ignore the muppets on here and don’t bother replying. Nice that someone at least keeps the boards interesting.
Ok I'm in for £5,000 @12.90 It's either a quick profit or a terrible decision and loss. Time will tell. Good luck all
Why the price drop today? Have I missed some news?
I am interested in getting in sub 20p but my major worry is the debt, increased from last year and future prediction as per Debenham's accounts/guidance is for this to increase again by the end of the financial year. Aware that they have a buffer ceiling, 'bank facility' but it is still a worry and the one thing stopping me being involved atm. Thoughts?
Anyone know why the drop in price? What affect will the share buy back have in the short term? I think these prices are reasonably cheap!
