Isn’t there still a difference that this is saliva sent to the lab for analysis, Mologic is point of care like the antibody done there and then. They take longer to develop and create because if they work they are simply better to use and distribute

Antibody tests use blood whether lab or point of care. So they have given blood, gone to lab, results tomorrow. The point of care would be administered in front of them and result in twenty mins. Several companies sell lab versions including odx

Irrespective of the mail, tomorrow they could announce it’s the best test ever, with full approval And their buying millions in government. It’s not about the mail it’s about fundamental points around what odx is doing.

Will they manufacturer tests, will it get MHRA approval which I think is unlikely for a 7am update as it’s connected to other businesses. Can they pull off an antigen test, will it get used in airports? Non instrument? Cheap, cost effective, cure to virus? Is it going away? Impact of virus and how can this be made better?

Your looking for the solutions to the problem and who is going to do it? That’s the points so decide. Whether fundamentally they will do this, change things

Easy, we seem to forget what a national state this country is in and how economically and socially we are really struggling. Alongside the billions being thrown at it all really that aren’t really having the desire end state impact.

I am convinced bar cure or very good vaccine only way out of this is non instrument, poc, lateral flow, person doing their own tests. Cheap, quick and easy. Make a decision, know I don’t have the virus carryon. Until we stop the worry, in decision etc nothing greatly will change. Flood the country with quick, easy, reliable tests

What’s also interesting is other countries seemed to have found their way through with poc tests and don’t seem to have half our problems. The thing is we look for perfection because if the test is inaccurate we claim it may things far worse, whilst others even if the test isn’t accurate enough use them because better to detect done than wait for the perfect solution. In Germany, Cyprus etc they test with lateral flow and accept the inaccuracy against the benefits of understanding some, we are more inclined to rubbish the test and literally let everyone walk on by until it’s perfect.

Go back to when this started and millions wondering for piece of mind whether they have had Covid. So when approved for customer, direct use millions will buy through retailers. Then there’s government surveys to support understanding of population numbers with it. Then there test before, during and after vaccine given to understand that it’s worked. Then there use if more of the population get Covid in order to manage what areas can do or not do different activities.
